Chris Henry Suspended First Four Games Of Season

May 17, 2014 9:54 PM

Wide receiver Chris Henry was suspended by the NFL on Thursday for four games but may play the final 12 games of the regular season for any team that signs him. Henry was released by Cincinnati in April after his fifth arrest. Commissioner Roger Goodell had suspended Henry indefinitely following his latest arrest. The charges against him on that arrest were subsequently dropped. The 25-year-old player, one of a number of Bengals in trouble with the law the past few seasons, then applied for reinstatement.

Chad Cautious About His Return

May 18, 2014 6:15 AM

Disgruntled Bengals' receiver Chad Johnson wants to be cautious about returning to the field after having ankle surgery in June, according to Pro Football Talk. "My ankle wouldn?t be able to take the pounding yet," Johnson told Bengals.com. "I?ll be OK. I?m not worried. This is a marathon, not a sprint." He's aware that he might not be ready ten days from now when the Bengals open camp. "I?m going to make sure I don?t come back too fast," Johnson said. "I don?t want to overdo it. Because when I go out there, I?m going to forget it and just go 100 percent. They?re going to have to pull me out."
