Lee Evans confirmed Monday the Bills have made him a contract offer that would prevent the veteran WR from becoming a free agent following the 2008 season, as reported by the Associated Press.
Evans is currently in the final year of a five-year deal he signed after Buffalo selected him in the 2004 draft.
Evans didn't talk about any details of the offer, and the Bills didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.

Bills Release Injured TE Everett
The Bills on Tuesday placed injured TE Kevin Everett on the NFL?s waived/failed physical list, as reported by Yahoo.com. As a result of his release, Everett becomes eligible to pursue benefits to ensure his future financial stability.
Everett suffered a near-fatal spinal cord injury in September?s season opener, which initially left him paralyzed from the neck down.
The 26-year-old has made a remarkable recovery and is walking on his own although his rehabilitation continues.
