Sep 15, 2014 5:30 PM

Buffalo Bills' owner Ralph Wilson will stay in-house to fill its top front-office vacancy, ESPN.com has learned through multiple league and team sources, and Bills' executive vice president of business operations Russ Brandon has emerged as the frontrunner. The opening was created when Marv Levy stepped down as general manager two weeks ago. A Hall of Fame coach who led the Bills to four straight Super Bowl appearances, Levy had come out of retirement two years ago to serve as the Bills' general manager. The team likely will announce Levy's successor next week. Brandon has worked for the Bills for 11 years and in 2006 was appointed to his current position in which he joined Levy in overseeing the club's front-office operations.

Losman Wants Out Of Buffalo

Aug 1, 2014 5:20 AM

Bills quarterback J.P. Losman wants out of Buffalo, unhappy with how he lost his starting job to rookie Trent Edwards this past season. Losman's agent, Gary Wichard, told The Associated Press on Friday that his client would prefer to be traded, but added Losman would play out the final year of his contract if necessary. Wichard said he has not yet spoken to the Bills because the team is seeking a new GM after Marv Levy stepped down earlier this week. Whether the Bills choose to keep Losman, Wichard said he didn't see any chance of Losman remaining with the team after next season.
