Chiefs To Sign CB DeAndre Baker To Practice Squad

Nov 18, 2020 8:43 AM

The Kansas City Chiefs plan to sign cornerback DeAndre Baker to their practice squad, according to a source.

Baker had been facing four counts of robbery with a firearm in Florida in connection with an alleged incident in May, but the charges were dropped Monday.

The Chiefs -- between injuries and a suspension -- haven't had their top three cornerbacks available for any of their nine games.

Baker, 23, was released this summer by the New York Giants, who had drafted him out of Georgia in the first round in 2019.

Nov 15, 2020 9:12 PM

David Bakhtiari signed a four-year contract extension with the Green Bay Packers that can be worth up to $105.5 million.

The base value of the deal is $103.5 million with another $2 million in incentives and includes the highest signing bonus -- $30 million, all payable before the end of the 2020 season -- for an offensive lineman.

The new-money average of $23 million is a record for an offensive lineman.

Since the start of the 2017 season, Bakhtiari has ranked first in ESPN's pass block win rate among all tackles.

Bengals Claim Takk McKinley Off Waivers

Nov 11, 2020 10:18 PM

Takk McKinley has been claimed off waivers by the Cincinnati Bengals.

McKinley was released by the Atlanta Falcons after he called out the team for failing to trade him at the deadline.

McKinley had expressed his desire to be traded before the deadline, and he took to Twitter last week to say the Falcons turned down fifth- and sixth-round draft-pick offers from multiple teams despite his request.

McKinley was a first round pick in 2017.
