Logan Ryan has agreed to a three-year, $30 million deal with the New York Giants.

Ryan, 29, earned the extension with his strong play this season. He signed a one-year, $5 million deal with the Giants back in late August that included another $1.5 million in incentives, and admitted that his familiarity with new coach Joe Judge played a major factor.

The San Francisco 49ers have signed Josh Rosen to back up C.J. Beathard at quarterback.

The 49ers lost Nick Mullens for the season with a right elbow injury that may require Tommy John surgery.

Rosen has been on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' practice squad.

Jimmy Garoppolo's status for the final two games of the season is uncertain as he deals with a high ankle sprain.
