Budda Baker, Cardinals Agree To Four-Year, $59M Extension

Aug 25, 2020 11:16 AM

The Arizona Cardinals and Budda Baker have agreed to a four-year, $59 million contract that makes him the highest-paid safety in NFL history.

Baker recorded 147 tackles last season, his third since being selected in the second round of the 2017 draft out of Washington.

Baker does not have an interception since entering the NFL, however, and has played the most coverage snaps (1,261) of any player during that span to have not intercepted a pass.

Chris Hogan Signs With Jets

Aug 16, 2020 1:56 PM

Chris Hogan has agreed to sign with the New York Jets.

Hogan played for the Buffalo Bills (2012-2015) and Patriots (2016-2018) and spent time on the Miami Dolphins' roster (2011-2012), but he never appeared in a game. Hogan spent last season with the Carolina Panthers.

"He's somebody whose name has come up quite a bit," Adam Gase said of Hogan. "He's a guy who can come in and pick up the offense very quickly. Obviously, we competed against him quite a bit. He's a good fit for us."

Seahawks Acknowledge Interest In Antonio Brown

Aug 3, 2020 8:54 PM

The Seattle Seahawks have acknowledged the team has interest in Antonio Brown.

Brown will be suspended eight games once he's signed by a team. Russell Wilson hosted Brown for a workout in San Diego in July and he's advocated behind the scenes for the team to sign him.

"What I'd say to you is what we always say because it's what we always do and who we are," Pete Carroll said when asked about the Seahawks' rumored interest in Brown. "John is competing at every turn. There's never been a process, unless we just missed it, that we weren't involved with to understand what the chances were of helping our club. He's all over it. He understands what's going on right now, as much as you can. It's a very complex situation. We just need to see where it fits somewhere down the road. That's all I got for you."

Brown could be suspended for additional games following the conclusion of an ongoing NFL investigation into the allegation from Brown's former trainer that he sexually assaulted her on three separate occasions in 2017 and 2018.
