Nick Foles may need more than the initial diagnosis of six to eight weeks to recover from his broken collarbone.
The best case scenario for Foles' return would be Week 16.
Foles suffered the injury on November 2nd and Mark Sanchez has been starting at quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles in his place.
Eric Berry has what Kansas City Chiefs' officials believe is lymphoma -- a form of cancer -- and has been placed on the season-ending non-football illness list.
Berry will undergo further testing at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta to complete the diagnosis.
"At this point in time, we don't have a definitive diagnosis," Chiefs trainer Rick Burkholder said at a news conference Monday afternoon. "But the leading consideration for what he has right now is lymphoma.
"We first were alerted to something on Thursday night. It's now Monday. We still don't have a definitive answer. That's OK. We'll get to the experts and we'll get the answer. We'll get a treatment program and we'll go from there."
Ryan Mallett will miss the rest of the 2014 season for the Houston Texans with a torn pectoral muscle.
Mallett sustained the injury during the game, but was able to play through it. In two starts for the Texans, Mallett completed 41 of his 75 pass attempts for 400 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.
Ryan Fitzpatrick is expected to become the Texans' starting quarterback again.
Arian Foster is inactive for the Houston Texans' Week 12 game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Foster is still recovering from an injured groin.
Foster ranks third in the NFL with 822 yards.
Alfred Blue will receive most of the carries at running back for the Texans.
The San Francisco 49ers have opened the 21-day practice/evaluation window for NaVorro Bowman, who is coming back from his knee injury in last year's NFC Conference Championship Game.
Tuesday was the deadline to open said window, otherwise the Niners would have had to move him from the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list to Injured Reserve.
The 49ers have 21 days to gauge whether to activate Bowman to the 53-man roster or place him on IR.
Brandin Cooks will miss four to six weeks with a broken thumb after undergoing successful surgery.
Cooks has caught 53 balls for 550 yards and three touchdowns, along with seven carries for 73 yards and an additional touchdown.
Cooks was the 20th overall pick by the New Orleans Saints out of Oregon State.
Ahmad Bradshaw suffered a broken ankle in the Indianapolis Colts' Week 11 loss to the New England Patriots.
Bradshaw will undergo testing on Monday to determine the injury's severity and whether surgery is needed.
Bradshaw, who suffered the injury in the second half, was on crutches with a boot on his left foot when he departed the locker room after the game. He also wore sunglasses, possibly to hide his frustration.
Arian Foster will not play for the Houston Texans in their Week 11 game.
Foster was initially listed as questionable on the injury report, but will not make the trip to Cleveland.
Foster suffered a groin injury in Week 9 and wasn't able to get all the way back after the Texans' bye in Week 10.
Leodis McKelvin is out indefinitely after fracturing his ankle in the Buffalo Bills' loss on Thursday to the Miami Dolphins.
"We'll have to see what we're going to do with that," coach Doug Marrone said Monday. "We're in discussions there, meaning the roster spot and what goes on and where we put him as far as IR and things like that."
McKelvin has started nine games this season and is tied for third in the NFL with four interceptions.
