Buccaneers Using Wristbands To Designate Vaccinated, Unvaccinated

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be using two different wristbands at practice to distinguish vaccinated players from unvaccinated players.

According to the team, vaccinate players will wear red wristbands and unvaccinated players will wear yellow wristbands.

President Joe Biden will celebrate the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Super Bowl title when the team visits the White House on Tuesday.

Tampa Bay won Super Bowl LV in February by defeating the Kansas City Chiefs, 31-9.

Biden has resumed the tradition of opening the White House to championship sports teams after an uneven record of such visits under the Trump administration.

Tom Brady Played 2020 Season With Torn MCL

Tom Brady played the 2020 season with a partially torn MCL in his left knee, which was sustained during his final season with the New England Patriots.

Brady underwent surgery on his knee in February after winning the Super Bowl.

Brady also had an MCL sprain toward the end of the 2018 season with the Patriots. Brady never appeared on the injury report during the 2020 season.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Chris Godwin are not expected to reach a long-term deal prior to Thursday's deadline.

The Buccaneers will instead work to lock up Godwin long-term this coming offseason.

The wide receiver, 25, will make just under $16 million guaranteed playing for Tampa Bay in 2021.

Navy Allowing Cameron Kinley To Play For Buccaneers

Cameron Kinley has been granted his request to play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin has announced.

Austin announced in a statement that he approved a plan by the Department of the Navy to enlist Kinley in the Inactive Ready Reserve "for the duration of his football career."

Kinley's request to delay his Navy commission to play in the NFL had initially been denied.

The cornerback, a team captain at Navy and class president, signed as an undrafted free agent with the Buccaneers and participated in the team's rookie minicamp with the Navy's permission.
