Seahawks cornerback Marcus Trufant will play in his first game of the season on Sunday against the Cowboys.
The former Pro Bowler was added to Seattle's active roster on Friday.
"We're going to just see where we are on Sunday," coach Jim Mora told the Seattle Times. "The one thing we don't want to do is come out of that game saying, 'We wish we would have played Tru more.' "
He missed the first six games of the season with a back injury.

Tatupu Done For Remainder Of Season
Lofa Tatupu is undergoing surgery Thursday afternoon in Alabama and the Seattle linebacker will be out for the remainder of the season.
Tatupu suffered a torn pectoral muscle in Seattle's loss to Arizona. For about a week, there was the hope he might be able to rehabilitate the injury without surgery.
Tatupu traveled to Alabama on Wednesday for a diagnosis with Dr. James Andrews. T
Source: Holmgren Has Eye On GM Role In Seattle
Former Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren reportedly has his eye on the team's general manager job.
Current Seattle general manager Tim Ruskell is in the last year of his deal.
The National Football Post is reporting that sources indicate Holmgren is more interested in a front office role than a return to the sidelines.
Houshmandzadeh: Throw Me The Ball
Seahawks receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh wants to see the ball thrown his way more often.
"I just got to get these coaches to realize, throw me the ball," Houshmandzadeh said Friday.
"Maybe I've said it too much," he added. "I just got to show them now."
Houshmandzadeh has 27 catches so far this season, good enough for 10th in the NFL. He signed a five-year contract with Seattle this offseason.
"I'm trying to earn my money one way or the other, man. If I don't earn it on Sunday, I'll earn it during the week," Houshmandzadeh said with a smile.
Mora: 'I Wanted It To Be 41-Nothing'
Seahawks coach Jim Mora wanted to see his team maintain their intensity for 60 full minutes against the Jaguars on Sunday.
"A lot of times you walk in after a game like that and the coach says, 'Hey, do it just like we did last week,' " Mora told the Seattle Times. "I don't want it to be just like it was last week. I want it to be better."
The Seahawks will face the Cardinals this coming week.
Seattle called timeout with two minutes left in the third quarter, leading by 34 points on Sunday. Jacksonville was facing a third-and-two, and the Seahawks had the wrong defensive personnel on the field.
"That's why it was so important for me that we finish the game in the right way with the right frame of mind," Mora said. "With a toughness. No letdown."
"I didn't want mistakes," he added. "Didn't want it to be 41-7. I wanted it to be 41 to nothing."
Seattle Expects Hasselbeck To Start
The Seahawks expect quarterback Matt Hasselbeck to start on Sunday against the Jaguars.
Hasselbeck broke a rib during a dive against the 49ers on Sept. 20 and hasn't played since.
"Matt got better every day. He got more comfortable every day," coach Jim Mora Jr. said. "We're going to list him as probable ... and probable is a pretty good sign that he will play.
"No, I'm not surprised. Matt is a very tough man, physically and mentally."
Seahawks OT Jones May Miss Season
Seahawks offensive tackle Walter Jones won't return to the field until November at the earliest.
Jones, who is trying to return from two knee surgeries, could miss the entire season.
Hasselbeck Expected To Practice Wednesday
Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck is expected to practice with the team on Wednesday despite his ailing ribs.
Hasselbeck has missed the team's last two games with fractured ribs.
His status for Sunday's game against the Jaguars is in question.
"We'll see Wednesday," Jim Mora told the Seattle Times. "I haven't seen him drop back and really wing it."
