Patriots Docked Two OTA Days Due To Offseason Rule Violation

The New England Patriots are losing two days or organized team activities due to a violation of offseason rules.

Thursday's OTA, as well as another next week, have been taken away.

The NFL Players Association monitors teams across the NFL for potential violations as part of its standard operating procedure.

The Patriots declined to comment.

In recent seasons, the Cowboys (2021, 2022), Bears (2022), Commanders (2022), Texans (2022), 49ers (2021), Jaguars (2021), Ravens (2018) and Seahawks (2016) have been penalized for violations of offseason rules.

Patriots Hire First Female Scout In Team History

For the first time in their 64-year history, the New England Patriots have hired a full-time female scout.

The Patriots have hired former Princeton director of football operations Maya Ana Callender to serve as an entry-level scout. She previously worked with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2021, under a training-camp fellowship.

The NFL had 22 full-time female scouts in 2022.

Dolphins Sign OT Isaiah Wynn

The Miami Dolphins have agreed to a one-year deal with offensive tackle Isaiah Wynn, according to a source.

Wynn was selected in the first round of the 2018 NFL draft by the New England Patriots. He started four seasons at left tackle before switching to right tackle in 2022.

Patriots To Honor Tom Brady At 2023 Home Opener

Robert Kraft has announced that Tom Brady will be honored at the New England Patriots' 2023 home opener, which will come against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, Sept. 10.

"I invited him back to be with us at the opening game and let the fans in New England thank him ... it will be the beginning of many celebrations to honor Tom Brady," Kraft said.

Kraft added of Brady, who announced his retirement after 23 seasons: "He's very excited to come back and see our fans. It will be a great, great celebration."
