Tom Brady plans to play against the Dolphins on Sunday in New England's meaningless season finale.
"I think we're playing," Brady said. "That's just the way it is. I don't get into a whole lot of evaluation why. It's a football game. I'm the starting quarterback on this football team, and I'm gonna play. All those other guys take the same approach. I don't think we approach this week any different. Leave that up to the coach."
Bill Belichick has not been forthcoming this week when asked whether the starters will see action, and if so, how much.

Belichick Could Become First Coach With Four 14-Win Seasons
If the Patriots win on Sunday against the Dolphins, Bill Belichick would become the first head coach ever to win at least 14 regular-season games in four seasons.
New England has reached the Super Bowl in every season in which they have won at least 14 games, winning in 2003 and 2004.
Brady, Vick To Start Pro Bowl
Tom Brady (AFC) and Michael Vick (NFC) will start at quarterback at the Pro Bowl.
Vick made three Pro Bowls with Atlanta before he was suspended by the league and served jail time for running a dogfighting ring.
"I'm not worried about the Pro Bowl right now," he said. "There's so many things going on in my head. I appreciate the Pro Bowl, but as of right now, I can't even focus on that. It's in oblivion right now."
New England had six Pro Bowlers, led by Brady, the league's top passer who will make his sixth trip to the game -- provided the Patriots don't make the Super Bowl.
Belichick Mum On Whether Brady Will Play
Bill Belichick isn't yet saying whether or not Tom Brady will play in the team's season finale against the Dolphins.
Miami is out of the playoff picture, while New England has already clinched the No. 1 seed in the AFC.
"The decision will be what we feel is in the best interests of our football team," Belichick said.
"Some players are a little different than other guys, but we will do what's best for our football team both individually and collectively and make our decision this week."
Brady: Winning MVP 'Doesn't Make A Lot Of Sense'
Tom Brady isn't too interested in winning the NFL's MVP award.
Brady and fellow quarterback Michael Vick appear to be engaged in a two-man race for the award.
"My feeling, as always, is the most valuable player award in a team sport, to me that doesn't make a lot of sense," Brady told WEEI Radio. "I can understand you have a most valuable golfer or something like that. Michael Vick is a great player, and he's the best player for that team. He fits what they do well. Peyton Manning fits what his team does well.
"Unfortunately, it's really a quarterback award, not a lot of other great players get that recognition, which they probably should. There are so many great players in the league. You know, I guess it's something they have to do. The only award I ever cared about is a Super Bowl ring."
Brady Sets Record For Passes Without An Interception
Tom Brady set an NFL record on Sunday for passes attempted without an interception.
Following New England's win over Buffalo, Brady has thrown 319 passes without completing one to an opposing player.
"I'm glad I'm not throwing interceptions," Brady said. "I think our team has done a really good job this year of not turning the ball over in general. All the guys that have handled it this year are doing a great job of taking care of it.
"I'm very fortunate. Believe me, I've had plenty of plays that definitely could have gone for them. It's a good trend for us to be on, and hopefully it continues."
Brady broke the mark of 308 attempts without a pick previously set by Cleveland's Bernie Kosar over the 1990-91 seasons with his 17th attempt in the third quarter.
Patriots Lock Up AFC's No. 1 Seed
The Patriots thumped the Bills 34-3 on Sunday afternoon to clinch the AFC's top seed.
New England will have home-field advantage through the first three rounds of the playoffs.
The Patriots will finish first in the AFC for the third time since 2003 and win their eighth division title in 10 years.
"It never gets old," Brady said. "We never get tired of winning."
Brady Returns To Practice, Trainers Pass Out Sanitizer
Tom Brady is recovering from the flu and team trainers passed out sanitizer to players during Thursday's practice.
"We've been speaking about it a lot now, with the weather changing, there's going to be a lot of illness going around," wide receiver Deion Branch said. "We try to make sure we're pumping a lot of fluids in our bodies, getting the proper rest, eating the right food."
New England will face Buffalo this Sunday afternoon.
Brady Passes Vick In Final Pro Bowl Returns
Tom Brady has overtaken Michael Vick to lead all players in the final fan voting for the Pro Bowl.
Brady had nearly 1.9 million votes when balloting ended Monday. The NFL said Wednesday that Vick topped the NFC with more than 1.5 million.
Fans account for one-third of the selection process. Players and coaches vote Wednesday and Thursday.
