The Carolina Panthers acquired CJ Henderson and a fifth round pick from the Jacksonville Jaguars for Dan Arnold and a third round pick.

The Panthers' 2021 first-round pick, cornerback Jaycee Horn, is out for an extended time, possibly for the season, with multiple broken bones in his right foot.

Urban Meyer’s Wednesday press conference opened with a reporter offering the head coach the chance to shoot down the USC rumors, and Meyer elected to do so.

“There’s no chance,” Meyer said. “I’m here and committed to try to build an organization.”

Meyer has coached only one NFL game with the Jacksonville Jaguars, but he figures to be a candidate for any high profile head coaching vacancy.

Nick Saban spent two seasons in the NFL with the Miami Dolphins before returning to the collegiate ranks. 

The Jacksonville Jaguars are expected to sign Jacob Hollister.

Hollister was released by the Buffalo Bills earlier this week.

According to a report, the tight end received several offers in the days since his surprising release.

The NFL Players Association is looking into Urban Meyer's comments about considering vaccination status while making roster cuts.

"These comments have led us to open an investigation," NFLPA spokesman George Atallah told Pro Football Talk.

The joint NFL and NFLPA protocols have indeed created an incentive to weed out unvaccinated players. However, the rules prohibit considering vaccination status in making employment decisions.
