The Jacksonville Jaguars will hire Trent Baalke as general manager.

Baalke was hired by the Jaguars as director of player personnel in 2020.

Baalke was general manager of the San Francisco 49ers from 2011 until 2016.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have hired Urban Meyer as head coach.

Meyer will replace Doug Marrone as head coach.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have entered into advanced talks with Urban Meyer on becoming the team's next head coach, according to a source.

The two sides are meeting again on Thursday after doing so on Wednesday as well.

The source said the situation is "trending" toward a deal being completed.

Meyer has connections to the Jacksonville area from his time as head coach at the University of Florida. Meyer has never coached in the NFL.

There is a growing sense in NFL circles that Urban Meyer will become the next coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

If Meyer does take the job, the belief is he'd retain interim general manager Trent Baalke as he's given at least some personnel power.

Jacksonville seems to have shut down their head coaching search as they speak with Meyer.

The Jacksonville Jaguars plan to meet with Urban Meyer on Friday to discuss the team's head coaching vacancy, according to sources.

The Jaguars have already interviewed Eric Bienemy and Raheem Morris, with Robert Saleh scheduled for Saturday.

Shad Khan intends to run a thorough process and consider all options. Jacksonville holds the No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Trevor Lawrence has announced he will leave Clemson and declare for the 2021 NFL draft.

"My time here has been amazing, and I'll be a Clemson Tiger forever," Lawrence said in the video.

Lawrence is all but assured of becoming the top overall pick in the draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Dabo Swinney called Lawrence, "the greatest winner I've been around," and praised his QB for his work off the field, too.
