Tim Tebow hasn't taken an NFL snap since 2012, but he's in camp with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Tebow is listed as a tight end, but Urban Meyer envisions using the 33-year-old in a utility role -- much like Taysom Hill with the New Orleans Saints.

"There are people in camp right now who strongly believe the reason why Urban Meyer brought Tim Tebow in is not to play tight end, but actually to use him in that utility role, that Taysom Hill role that we see Sean Payton use in New Orleans," Dianna Russini said on ESPN's Get Up.

"In terms of comparing the two, we always talk about on this show how much Sean Payton loves Taysom Hill. It's been very obvious over the years. That same kind of love is what Tim Tebow and Urban Meyer have between each other. It could be a very similar situation, but in terms of football, this is something we could be seeing."

Brian Schneider is stepping away from the Jacksonville Jaguars indefinitely for personal reasons.

It's the second time in less than 10 months that Schneider has taken time away for personal reasons. He left the same position with the Seattle Seahawks in September 2020.

Schneider did not rejoin the Seahawks last season but agreed to join the Jaguars earlier this year.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have officially signed Tim Tebow to a one-year contract, according to a source.

Tebow will be on the field Thursday for the team's offseason program as he sets out to compete for a roster spot.

The 33-year-old hasn't played football since the 2015 NFL preseason and has spent the past six years working as a broadcaster on the SEC Network and working on his professional baseball career.

The deal is non-guaranteed and worth $920,000.

The Philadelphia Eagles have acquired cornerback Josiah Scott from the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Eagles are sending cornerback Jameson Houston and a 2023 sixth-round pick to the Jaguars in the deal.

Jacksonville used a 2020 fourth-round pick on Scott out of Michigan State.

The New York Giants have claimed Ryquell Armstead off waivers from the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Armstead was waived by the Jaguars on Monday after he missed the entire 2020 season because of complications related to COVID-19.

The 24-year-old was twice placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list last season. He spent 19 days on the list the first time, then dealt with a groin injury and another illness before going back on the list. Players are placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list if they test positive for the virus or have been in close contact with someone who has.

The Jacksonville Jaguars plan on signing Tim Tebow to a one-year deal.

The deal will likely become official in the next week or so.

Tebow hasn't played in the NFL since 2012 with the New York Jets. Tebow participated in training camp and preseason with the New England Patriots in 2013 and with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2015.
