No Truth To Alshon Jeffery Trade Rumors

Oct 27, 2016 8:47 PM

Don't expect Alshon Jeffery to be moved ahead of the Nov. 1 trade deadline.

There have been no talks between the Chicago Bears and Philadelphia Eagles on a trade for Jeffery and reporter Ian Rapoport pointed out that it's "essentially unprecedented" to trade a franchise player because the new team cannot sign the tagged star prior to the start of free agency.

Jay Cutler: John Fox Has No Choice But To Back Me

Oct 26, 2016 7:49 AM

Jay Cutler believes that John Fox now has no choice but to support him as the starting quarterback for the Chicago Bears after Brian Hoyer's injury.

Cutler addressed the media on Tuesday for the first time since he suffered a sprained thumb in Week 2 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

When asked whether he felt he has Fox's trust, Cutler said, "He doesn't have a choice, I guess, at this point.

"Brian is out, so I've got to go. I've had good conversations with Foxy this week, last week, the week before. There's never been any strain in our relationship. We're both very open and honest, and we're on the same page. We just want to win football games."

Hoyer suffered a broken left arm last Thursday against the Green Bay Packers.

Bears Place Kevin White On IR With Fractured Fibula

Oct 5, 2016 9:26 PM

The Chicago Bears have placed Kevin White on injured reserve with a fractured fibula in his left leg.

The Bears have not ruled out the possibility that White will undergo surgery, but the team is currently exploring all options before making a final determination.

White, the seventh overall pick of the 2015 NFL draft, sat out his entire rookie season due to a stress fracture in his left shin. At the time of that injury, White had a steel rod inserted into his tibia to stabilize the left leg.
