Alshon Jeffery, Bears Continue To Discuss Long-Term Contract

Alshon Jeffery and the Chicago Bears continue to discuss a long-term contract.

The two sides have until July 15th to agree upon a deal otherwise he'll play under the franchise tag.

Jeffery played in only nine games last season due to injuries, but he did catch 54 balls for 807 yards.

Long is a logical candidate to add depth to the Bears' offensive line.

Long was the first overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft but has suffered a string of injuries over the past few seasons.

Long was primarily a backup last season with the Atlanta Falcons.
