Tyrod Taylor Named Bills' Starting QB Again

Nov 22, 2017 10:07 AM

Tyrod Taylor will resume his role as Buffalo Bills' starting quarterback in Week 12 against the Chiefs.

Taylor was benched last week in favor of Nathan Peterman, who threw five interceptions in the first half.

"It's the right thing for our team," Sean McDermott said.

Taylor has thrown for 1,842 yards with 11 touchdowns and three interceptions this season.

Bills 'Still Evaluating The QB Position'

Nov 21, 2017 9:39 AM

The Buffalo Bills still haven't decided on their quarterback going forward.

Nathan Peterman tossed five interceptions in the first half on Sunday before he was benched for Tyrod Taylor.

"We are still evaluating the QB position and we'll take it one day at a time right now," Sean McDermott said. "I do think heavily about our team in every decision that's made."

Richard Sherman Blasted Bills As Nathan Peterman Struggled

Nov 20, 2017 8:42 AM

There were a lot of questions surrounding the Buffalo Bills' decision to bench Tyrod Taylor in favor of Nathan Peterman heading into Sunday's game.

Those questions continued to mount as Peterman struggled mightily against the Los Angeles Chargers. The rookie tossed five interceptions before Sean McDermott pulled him from the game and sent Taylor in.

Richard Sherman, presumably taking in Sunday's action ahead of the Seattle Seahawks' game against the Atlanta Falcons on Monday night, blasted the Bills on Twitter.

"So they bench my guy @TyrodTaylor and the guy they bring in has already thrown 2picks with 10mins left in the 1st. Great decision," the cornerback wrote on twitter.

McDermott said after the Bills' loss that he didn't regret the decision.

LeSean McCoy: Players Were Surprised By QB Change

Nov 16, 2017 8:41 AM

LeSean McCoy says Buffalo Bills players were shocked to hear the team was benching Tyrod Taylor in favor of rookie Nathan Peterman.

Sean McDermott had publicly said that Taylor would remain the starting quarterback.

"I think everybody was kind of surprised," McCoy said. "Nobody really knew until [Wednesday]. We've been struggling, I think everybody has been struggling the last two weeks so we were a little surprised. ... We're all together. We're not playing well, from [Taylor] to me, guys up front, other playmakers, we're not playing well together on offense."
