Oct 6, 2014 9:52 PM

The NFL has converged on New York City for the first round of the 2013 draft. Without two sure-fire picks, as we saw last season with Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III, there promises to be a lot of drama on Thursday night.

Kolb Eager To Play With 'Explosive' Spiller

Aug 23, 2014 6:13 AM

Kevin Kolb is excited to have C.J. Spiller in his backfield with the Buffalo Bills after having mid-level backs such as Beanie Wells and LaRod Stephen-Howling while with the Arizona Cardinals.

"Explosive," Kolb said on Wednesday. "Yeah, super-explosive. He's truly a bounce in every step, and there's very few of those around."

Kolb was asked if any teammates from his past compare to Spiller.

"The first thing that came to mind, but they're still different players, is Brian Westbrook," Kolb said, "because I played with him in Philly, and he was obviously a special player, Pro Bowler that last year I had him over there.

"C.J.'s plenty explosive, and he's got all those capabilities as well."

Buddy Nix: 'QB Class Better Than Everybody Thinks'

Aug 22, 2014 8:27 PM

The Buffalo Bills could take a quarterback next week when they use the eighth overall pick.

This year's quarterback crop isn't as heralded as it has been in recent years, but Bills general manager Buddy Nix doesn't believe grabbing one early would be a reach.

"This quarterback class is better than everybody thinks it is," Nix said. "It's better than the publicity they get.

"Five or six of those guys -- maybe seven -- do a lot of things good and do them good enough to win. This is not a standard answer. I've said this from the start, that two or three of these guys will be franchise quarterbacks. I believe that."
