Will DT Darwin Walker Become A Free Agent?

Oct 13, 2014 8:44 AM

From Philadelphia to Buffalo and potentially back again: Defensive tackle Darwin Walker is prepared for anything, even becoming a free agent in August, after contract talks with the Bills reached an impasse Wednesday. "Whether we're done talking, I don't want to go that far," Walker's agent, Albert Irby, told The AP after talks broke down. "I've got to hope they change their mind, because I can tell you we're not changing ours." And that could mean Walker's tenure with the Bills might be a short one in what is quickly becoming one of the team's most convoluted and unusual acquisitions. Walker was acquired by the Bills in March as part of a trade that sent Takeo Spikes to Philadelphia.

Wilson Says Bills Will Only Be Sold After He Dies

Oct 13, 2014 8:44 AM

Ralph Wilson is the only owner the Buffalo Bills franchise has had in its history, and that?s the way it?s going to stay as long as he?s alive. In his first comments on the future of the team in more than a year, Wilson stated in an interview with The Buffalo News that the team will be sold after ? not before ? he dies. He also stated, point blank, that he would not leave the team to his wife, Mary ? a scenario about which there has been considerable speculation. ?I think she?s capable and she could do it, but it would be tough,? Wilson said. ?My daughters are interested in the game, but they?re not going to own the team.?

Bills, DT Darwin Walker Increase Talks To Complete Deal

Oct 13, 2014 8:42 AM

Darwin Walker and the Bills have increased talks to complete a restructured contract in time for the defensive tackle to attend the team's mandatory minicamp next week. "We've had dialogue and we're still hopeful," Walker's agent, Albert Irby, told The Associated Press on Friday. "We've got to be hopeful because Darwin wants to play there and sees it as a wonderful opportunity. He wants to be a Bill in the worst way."
