Report: Ravens Look To Deal For McGahee Immediately

Jul 4, 2014 4:32 AM

The Baltimore Ravens will look to acquire Willis McGahee from the Buffalo Bills by the end of Thursday. Their running back Jamal Lewis signed with the Cleveland Browns on Wednesday. To acquire McGahee, the Ravens likely would need to trade at least a third-round pick. Because he is in the final year of his contract, the Ravens probably would be willing to sign him to a deal similar to the one recently given by the New York Jets to Thomas Jones (four years, $20 million including $12 million in guaranteed money).

Broncos Looking To Deal For Willis McGahee

Dec 11, 2014 11:59 PM

The Broncos are looking to make a deal for Buffalo running back Willis McGahee. It could take around a third-round pick to get the former University of Miami star. In addition to McGahee, running backs who might be available in a trade include Chicago's Thomas Jones. The team also could look at Jamal Lewis, cut by the Ravens. Travis Henry could be another option if he is cut by Tennessee. One player who might visit is Green Bay's Ahman Green. "Whoever we bring in, I'm ready to compete," said Mike Bell, who rushed for 677 yards on 157 carries last season. "I'll miss Tatum, but I'm ready to compete with whoever comes in. Tatum and Ron Dayne were great backs last year, and I didn't shy away and I won't this year."
