Jauron: Bills Listening To Offers For McGahee

Oct 21, 2014 4:31 PM

Calling no player "untouchable," Bills coach Dick Jauron said the team would consider trade offers for Willis McGahee. "It's in our best interest to listen to everybody, and no people are untouchable," Jauron told The Associated Press at the NFL's annual scouting combine at Indianapolis on Monday. "He's a good back. He's our starting running back right now. It's no surprise to me at all that people are interested." Asked specifically if McGahee is on the trading block, Jauron said: "Well, people talk. People talk in the league all the time."

Bills Re-Sign Kelsay

Oct 21, 2014 4:32 PM

Defensive end Chris Kelsay signed a four-year contract with the Buffalo Bills, avoiding the uncertainty of becoming an unrestricted free agent. A second-round draft pick in 2003 out of Nebraska, Kelsay emerged as one of the Bills' top defensive linemen last season. Starting all 16 games for the second successive season, he had career highs in tackles (88) and sacks (5?), finishing third on the team in sacks and sixth in tackles. "Relieved, excited, it's just kind of an overwhelming feeling right now because Buffalo really exceeded my expectations and really did their part to get me back here," Kelsay said. "The stress that comes along with free agency and not knowing what lies ahead ... that's all over and done with. It's a huge sigh of relief."

Bills' McGee Sues Former Financial Adviser

Oct 21, 2014 4:31 PM

Buffalo cornerback Terrence McGee thought he was set for life when he signed a contract extension that included a $5 million bonus. Some 16 months later, McGee's financial picture doesn't look so secure: He filed a lawsuit this week seeking to recoup more than $1 million that McGee said his former financial adviser funneled into unauthorized and possibly nonexistent investments. The suit, filed in Harris County District Court in Texas on Tuesday, accuses Craig Curry of stealing the money from McGee's account and covering up the theft by making two suspicious investments.

Bills' CB Clements To Test Free Agency

Oct 21, 2014 4:32 PM

Cornerback Nate Clements, a key to the Bills' defense, plans to test free agency next month. His agent, Todd France, told The Associated Press it's in his client's best interest to pursue free agency once the period opens March 2. France added that Clements is open to re-signing with the Bills if the team makes a competitive offer. The Bills declined to comment, except to point out what coach Dick Jauron said about the team's potential free agents at the end of last season. "Our guys may want to test the market, and we understand that," Jauron said. "But we'd like to be kept in the loop and keep the conversations up with them and be as honest as we can be with them and keep an open mind as we chase our guys and others. That's the game. That's the business."
