Mason Expected To Return To Ravens
Ravens wide receiver Derrick Mason is expected to return to the club for the 2010.

Troy Smith Wants To Play For Browns
Troy Smith wants to play for the Browns.
The Ravens backup quarterback told ESPN Radio's Cleveland affiliate of his desire.
"There is no doubt about it. It has always been a childhood dream of mine," Smith said.
"It's funny how we always talk about Cleveland. That's the first thing that comes to mind with anything I do whether I get a chance to come home and be a part of that organization or not. You know, I would love to get that chance if that opportunity comes up, but the political and right thing to say in this situation is that I would love to be anywhere that would give me a chance. But, without a doubt, there would be no second guessing in my mind if I could come back home and be a part of something that I love."
Smith's agent requested a trade earlier this month.
Zorn Joins Ravens As QB Coach
The Ravens announced on Saturday that they have hired Jim Zorn as their quarterbacks coach.
"Jim played successfully in the league for a long time, and certainly understands what an NFL quarterback goes through," Ravens coach John Harbaugh told The Baltimore Sun.
"He has been an NFL quarterback coach, NFL head coach and is familiar with our offense. That's a great resume for us."
Zorn was fired by the Redskins after a 4-12 season.
Pees Will Coach LBs In Baltimore
The Ravens have hired Dean Pees as their linebackers coach.
Baltimore head coach Jon Harbaugh made the announcement on Tuesday.
"I've know Dean for 27 years, and he's our type of coach -- energetic, hard-working and innovative," Harbaugh stated. "He has worked with all three levels of defense -- defensive line, linebackers and secondary. His experience and wealth of knowledge speak for themselves. Dean has also earned respect from his players and fellow coaches because he has been a coordinator. He'll help our linebackers complement the guys up front and in the back end. He'll fit in with us well, and we're excited to get him."
Pees had been the defensive coordinator of the Patriots for the last four seasons. It was announced on Jan. 14 that he wouldn't renew his contract with New England.

Ray Lewis Fined $5,000 For Hit In Indy
Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis was fined $5,000 by the NFL.

The infraction came in this past weekend's playoff loss to the Colts.
Source: Case Against Suggs Dismissed
A judge in Baltimore has dismissed the domestic violence case and $70 million lawsuit against Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs by the mother of his two children.
The case was dismissed with prejudice, meaning Candace D. Williams can't file it again, according to a source.
Last month, Williams accused Suggs of hitting her in the chest, pushing her to the floor and sitting on her while holding her neck with one hand and a bottle of bleach with the other.
Ravens Unlikely To Get Playmaker Wide Receiver
Due to the restrictive rules governing the final eight playoff teams, the Ravens may have a tough time bringing in the playmaker wide receiver they so desperately need.
?We?re going to do everything we can to make our team better, and that goes for the wide receiver position just like it goes for the defensive back position,? Jim Harbaugh said. ?You put a level of priority on different positions, so we?ve got a plan that way. We?ve got an idea and a direction we want to go, for sure. I think we?ve got to put as many good players around Joe Flacco as we possibly can.?
Raiders Interested In Flacco's QB Coach To Be O-Coordinator
Baltimore Ravens quarterbacks coach Hue Jackson interviewed Wednesday for the Oakland Raiders? offensive coordinator position.
Jackson interviewed last year for the San Francisco 49ers? offensive coordinator job.

Reed, Mason Mulling Retirement
The Ravens may lose two of their leaders this offseason.
Safety Ed Reed said Saturday that he's "50-50" on whether he will retire and wide receiver Derrick Mason also said he'll consider ending his career.
Reed has been dealing with a serious neck injury the past few seasons.
"It's 50-50," Reed said. "I got great doctors that I deal with. So I'm going to re-evaluate things and see how it goes. ... At the end of the day, it's my decision to play with injuries going forward for my career."
Mason, 36, completed the final year of his contract with Baltimore and will become a free agent in March.
