Ravens Won't Rule Out Owens, Westbrook

Aug 5, 2014 8:49 PM

Terrell Owens almost became a member of the Ravens six years ago and he could get another shot this offseason. Baltimore coach John Harbaugh wouldn't rule out the possibility of signing Owens Saturday during his NFL Scouting Combine media session. "We're interested in anyone who makes our football team better," said Harbaugh. Philly.com also reports that the Ravens have expressed interest in another ex-Eagle, running back Brian Westbrook. Harbaugh was on Philadelphia coach Andy Reid's staff before moving on to Baltimore.

Mason Wants Two-Year Contract To Return

Jun 9, 2014 3:01 PM

If wide receiver Derrick Mason is going to re-sign with the Ravens, he wants a two-year deal from the club. "I'm weighing my options to potentially come back and play," Mason told Baltimore's official web site. "My thought pattern is that if there's no need to come back for one year, then there's no need to come back. It has to be for more than one year. I'm not just going to come back for one year and let it be at that. If I came back, it would be for more than one year." After a stellar five-year run in Baltimore, where he set a franchise record with 4,975 receiving yards, Mason could be a hot commodity.

Jun 9, 2014 3:04 PM

The Ravens continued to express strong optimism that safety Ed Reed will not retire. Reed said he was "50-50" on whether he would return to the Ravens next season because of on-going injuries. "I believe Ed?s going to play next year," coach John Harbaugh said at the "State of the Ravens" press conference Wednesday. "If he doesn?t, we?ll have to have a plan in place to move on. There?s no better leader, no better football player, no better guy on our team than Ed Reed. We need him back. He?s a huge part of our puzzle."
