Patriots Release Adalius Thomas

The New England Patriots have released former Ravens linebacker Adalius Thomas, according to a report on ESPN.com. Thomas, 32, was Patriots coach Bill Belichick's biggest offseason signing in 2007, when he agreed to a five-year, $35 million contract. He played in 39 games from 2007-2009 for the Patriots and had 14 1/2 sacks. With the Ravens from 2000-2006, Thomas had 38 1/2 sacks. The ESPN.com story says that Thomas would like to be reunited with his former Ravens defensive coordinator, Rex Ryan, coach of the New York Jets.

Ravens May Look To Draft Receiver

The Ravens have added Anquan Boldin, but they could still look to draft a wide receiver in next week's NFL Draft. Baltimore has Boldin, Donte Stallworth and Derrick Mason. If they draft a receiver they could shop Mark Clayton for an additional draft pick.

Ravens Release Samari Rolle

The Ravens have released veteran cornerback Samari Rolle. Rolle missed the entire 2009 season with a neck injury. Baltimore general manger Ozzie Newsome told Rolle about a week ago that he planned to terminate his contract. "I'm glad to have the opportunity to know Samari," Newsome said Tuesday. "We know the incidents and what happened toward the end of his career that maybe shortened it. I don't know where he's at with that." It is likely Rolle will retire.

Dez Bryant Meets With Baltimore's Cameron

Oklahoma State wide receiver Dez Bryant met with Ravens offensive coordinator Cam Cameron this weekend. "Dez Bryant round-the-world tour continues in Baltimore tonite. Dez dining with off coord Cam Cameron downtown. Miles to go b4 Bryant sleeps," Peter King of Sports Illustrated wrote on his Twitter page. RealGM's Jeff Risdon has Bryant going to the Dolphins with the 12th overall pick in his latest mock draft.
