Trey McBride Becomes First Cardinals TE With 100 Yards Since 1989

Nov 13, 2023 10:24 AM

Trey McBride caught eight passes for 131 yards on Sunday, ending an amazing streak for the Arizona Cardinals.

McBride is the first Arizona tight end to have 100 receiving yards in a game since 1989.

The longest such drought in NFL history, the last Cardinals' tight end to have 100 receiving yards in a game prior to McBride was Robert Awalt, who had 105 receiving yards in Week 10 of the 1989 season.

Jason Myers sent the Seattle Seahawks to a 29-26 win over the Washington Commanders on Sunday at Lumen Field when he hit a 43-yard field goal in the final seconds.

That kick also sent Week 10 of the NFL season into the record books.

Cardinals Expecting Kyler Murray To Run Like He Always Has

Nov 8, 2023 8:22 AM

Kyler Murray will return to the field on Sunday for the first time since tearing his right ACL last season and the Arizona Cardinals are expecting the quarterback to run like he always has.

Murray underwent surgery on his right knee on Jan. 3.

"He's healthy; he's ready to go; and we will put him in position to be successful," offensive coordinator Drew Petzing said. "That's always the nature of the franchise quarterback, and you see it around the league when they are very mobile, there is an injury risk associated with that. We have to manage that as all teams with elite quarterbacks do."

According to Pro Football Focus, Murray has 381 rushing attempts in his career, with 195 coming on designed runs, 186 on scrambles and the rest on kneel downs.

Cardinals' Kyler Murray To Start Sunday If No Setbacks

Nov 7, 2023 8:13 AM

Kyler Murray will make his season debut for the Arizona Cardinals this Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons if all continues to go well for the quarterback.

Murray hasn't played since Week 14 of the 2022 season when he tore his right ACL three plays into a "Monday Night Football" game against the New England Patriots.

"Pleased where he is at right now," Jonathan Gannon said. "We'll see how the week goes."

The plan is to activate Murray on Wednesday, the final day of his window to be promoted to the 53-man roster after coming off the physically unable to perform list. Should Murray not be able to go Sunday, rookie Clayton Tune will get his second straight start.
