Bruce Allen's Job Running Washington Being Evaluated By Daniel Snyder

Nov 30, 2019 11:36 AM

For the first time in his tenure, Bruce Allen is being truly evaluated by Daniel Snyder.

Allen has previously been thought of as untouchable running the front office of Washington.

Allen was hired by Washington in 2010. Allen was previously an executive with the Oakland Raiders and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Dwayne Haskins Takes Selfie With Fan, Misses Final Snap

Nov 25, 2019 10:14 AM

Dwayne Haskins missed the final snap of the game as the Washington Redskins finished up a victory over the Detroit Lions on Sunday afternoon.

Haskins was taking a selfie with a fan, forcing the Redskins to send out Case Keenum to take the final snap.

"I was so hyped, I broke a water bottle," the rookie quarterback said. "I look up and we're in victory [formation]. I thought the game was over with already, but I'll get it next time."

Bill Callahan didn't come across as upset, but he didn't shrug it off.

"No, I don't laugh at it," the interim coach said. "I'm happy we won. We'll address that. I'm just pleased we won the game. I just have to find out."

Adrian Peterson Ready To Work With, Not Watch, Derrius Guice

Nov 14, 2019 10:13 AM

Adrian Peterson is "excited" about the return of Derrius Guice, but he isn't ready to concede his role with the Washington Redskins.

Peterson was inactive in Week 1, the last time Guice was healthy enough to play.

"Coach [Jay] Gruden was here. He's no longer here, so different scenario," Peterson said of Guice returning.

Bill Callahan expects to find carries for both Peterson and Guice.

"We've got a pretty good rotational system for that," Callahan said. "We feel pretty confident [Guice will] see quite a bit of action this weekend."

Washington Will Withhold Trent Willams' $5.1M Salary

Nov 9, 2019 11:16 AM

Washington will not pay the remaining $5.1 million base salary for Trent Williams for the remainder of the 2019 season.

This decision is voluntary and within Washington's rights, but is inconsistent with how other teams typically operate.

Williams is on the non-football injury list. Washington revealed a cancer diagnosis that played a part in his extended holdout and distrust of the team's medical staff.

Washington paid him last week when he returned to the team.

Trent Williams: Cancer Scare At Root Of Rift With Washington

Nov 3, 2019 11:33 AM

Trent Williams says he no longer trusts the Washington Redskins and felt they were vindictive in how they waited until the last minute to try to trade him.

He is also upset over how long it took the Redskins to take care of a cancerous growth on his scalp.

Williams, who ended his holdout Tuesday, spoke publicly for the first time since the end of last season.

"There's no trust there," he said. "There are some things that happened that are hard to look past."

Williams said he was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans. He said doctors told him the growth was removed only weeks before it would have reached his skull.

"It was cancer. I had a tumor removed from my skull -- attached to my skull -- it got pretty serious for a second," Williams said. "I was told some scary things from the doctors. It was definitely nothing to play with. It was one of those things that will change your outlook on life."

Williams said he first asked the Redskins' medical staff about the growth on his head six years ago, but he said nothing was done until this offseason.
