The Titans waived rookie linebacker Terna Nande and moved Haynesworth to the roster before flying to Philadelphia.
April 2006 - Tennessee Titans Wiretap
Fisher Fined For Criticism Of Official
Titans coach Jeff Fisher was fined $12,500 for criticizing an official Nov. 12 after a 27-26 loss to Baltimore.
After the game, Fisher said it was a "bad call by the umpire" that denied the Titans' recovery of a fumble in the third quarter. The Titans had stripped Mike Anderson of the ball while he was still upright.
Titans defensive tackle Robaire Smith came out of a pile with the ball, but officials ruled Anderson been down by contact.
Givens And Smith Carted Off In Nashville
Tennessee receiver David Givens hurt his left knee in the fourth quarter against Baltimore and had to be carted off the field, the second player needing such help in the game.
Givens hurt himself when he stopped to block on a run by Travis Henry and went down on his own. He missed the previous four games with a broken left thumb.
Baltimore running back Musa Smith was up and walking a little while after being strapped to a backboard and carted off the field in the first half.
Ravens' Lewis Deactivated With Back Injury
Ravens middle linebacker Ray Lewis missed his first game this season Sunday when he was deactivated against the Titans with a back injury.
Could Fisher Land In Washington Or Dallas?
Titans coach Jeff Fisher's name has been thrown around as a possible replacement to Joe Gibbs in Washington or Bill Parcells in Dallas if either quits after the season. But the Titans hold an option on Fisher for 2007.
Garrard To Start Again For Jaguars
David Garrard will make his second consecutive start at quarterback in place of Byron Leftwich on Sunday when the Jacksonville Jaguars host Tennessee.
Leftwich said Thursday that coach Jack Del Rio told him before practice he was sticking with Garrard, who led the Jaguars to a 13-6 victory at Philadelphia last week and improved to 5-1 as a starter the past two seasons.
Titans Suspend "Pacman" Jones One-Game For Off-Field Antics
Tennessee fans got tired of the off-field antics of cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones before he ever played a game for the team. On Wednesday, the Titans finally signaled they are weary, too.
The team suspended Jones, the sixth overall pick in the 2005 draft, for Sunday's game against Jacksonville. Coach Jeff Fisher hopes the punishment, which includes banning him from practice and what he called "significant financial considerations," gets Jones' attention.
