Steelers Trade OL Kevin Dotson To Rams, Swap Draft Picks

Aug 28, 2023 8:38 AM

The Pittsburgh Steelers have traded offensive lineman Kevin Dotson to the Los Angeles Rams.

The Steelers acquire the Rams' 2024 fourth-round pick and 2025 fifth-round selection, while the Rams receive the Steelers' 2024 fifth-round pick and 2025 sixth-round selection.

Dotson started all 17 games for the Steelers at left guard last season, but he was bumped from the 2023 starting lineup when the team signed Isaac Seumalo in free agency.

Mike Tomlin Sees Kenny Pickett Growing As A Leader In Year 2

Aug 25, 2023 7:17 AM

Mike Tomlin is pleased with Kenny Pickett's growth heading into his second season.

Tomlin said Pickett has been "really solid" throwing the ball in training camp and the preseason, but pointed more to his leadership than anything else.

"The leadership things, the communication things, the bringing-people-together things," the Pittsburgh Steelers coach said. "That is significant. It's not play related, but it is. He is the catalyst for that unit, he controls the pace and the tenor of that unit, and I think if he's comfortable that unit is comfortable, and I think that's been the biggest difference."

Pittsburgh drafted Pickett with the 20th pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
