The New England Patriots will start Mac Jones this weekend against the New York Jets, according to a source.

Jets Acquire James Robinson In Trade With Jaguars

Oct 25, 2022 9:06 AM

The New York Jets have acquired James Robinson from the Jacksonville Jaguars for draft picks, according to sources.

The Jets will send a 2023 conditional sixth-round pick to the Jaguars, which becomes a fifth-rounder if Robinson rushes for 600 yards this season, according to the report. Robinson has already rushed for 340 yards in 2022.

New York moved quickly on Monday after losing rookie Breece Hall to a torn ACL in Sunday's win over the Denver Broncos.

Robinson is in the final year of his rookie contract and saw no touches in Week 7 as the Jaguars featured Travis Etienne.

Jets Fear Breece Hall Suffered Torn ACL

Oct 24, 2022 8:57 AM

The New York Jets improved to 5-2 on Sunday, but the victory came with a cost as rookie Breece Hall suffered a torn ACL.

Hall was carted off the field in the second quarter of the Jets' 16-9 win over the Denver Broncos. He will have an MRI on Monday, but "the initial diagnosis is not good," Robert Saleh said.

Hall ran for a 62-yard touchdown in the first quarter, reaching a maximum speed of 21.87 mph -- the fastest this season by any ball carrier, according to Next Gen Stats.

The second-round pick has rushed for 463 yards and four touchdowns this season.

Broncos Rule Out Russell Wilson; Brett Rypien To Start At QB

Oct 22, 2022 1:33 PM

Russell Wilson tried to do everything he could to play after a hamstring injury, but Broncos coach Nathaniel Hackett on Saturday ruled out the nine-time Pro Bowl quarterback vs. the New York Jets on Sunday.

Hackett's decision was made to allow Wilson time to heal and prevent a lingering injury, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Backup quarterback Brett Rypien, who has taken a significant number of snaps with the starting offense throughout the week, will start.
