Marshall Reveals Personality Disorder

Dec 11, 2014 1:55 PM

Dolphins wide receiver Brandon Marshall says he was diagnosed earlier this year with borderline personality disorder. The disorder has been known to stem from things such as unstable personal relationships, a negative self-image and a fear of failure. He made the decision to go public with the issue to raise awareness, and says he plans to eventually lobby Congress for funding to assist research efforts. "For so long, I've been just trying to get help. I've been seeking help," Marshall said. "I've been talking with doctors since I've been in the NFL. No one has ever helped me. So I was praying there was a treatment out there for what I suffered from and there was."

Taylor Doesn't Rule Out Third Go-Around With Dolphins

Oct 16, 2014 4:19 AM

Jason Taylor isn't ready to retire just yet and hasn't ruled out yet another run with the Dolphins. Miami's all-time sack leader appeared to rule out another run with the team earlier this year, but the 36-year-old seemed more open to the idea Friday. "I appreciate the interest and the concern if there is any," Taylor told the South Florida Sun Sentinel. "No ships have sailed, no bridges have been burned. "There's nothing to do right now (because of the NFL lockout). I'm going to play this year, if there's a season, and I think there will be. ... Until this thing works itself out, I'm playing golf." Taylor played with the Dolphins from 1997 to 2007, then returned in 2009 after a one-year stop with the Redskins. He spent last season with the Jets, who released him in February.
