Jason Taylor, who has played for both the Jets and Dolphins, believes that Miami quarterback Chad Henne is more talented than Mark Sanchez, his New York counterpart. "I think Chad (Henne) has grown immensely since I left here a year ago," Taylor said. "I saw a kid in New York -- Mark Sanchez -- that is young. I don't think he's as talented as Chad Henne." The winless Dolphins share the AFC East with the Jets.

The Dolphins believe they have put head coach Tony Sparano in a tough spot by starting the season 0-3. "We're putting him in a tough situation," linebacker Karlos Dansby said. "We've got to play better. Right now his job is on the line, and we've got to do a better job of defending it for him. We're the only ones who can." One day after a 17-16 loss Sunday at Cleveland, Sparano talked with reporters for 20 minutes but addressed his job insecurity only briefly. "I don't know anything about that," he said. The three franchised players without long-term deals, Ravens defensive tackle Haloti Ngata, Chargers receiver Vincent Jackson and Dolphins defensive tackle Paul Soliai, are not expected to sign long-term extensions by Tuesday's deadline, according to sources. If teams don't sign their franchised players to long-term extensions by Tuesday they have to wait until the offseason.

Texans coach Gary Kubiak expects running back Arian Foster to play on Sunday against the Dolphins. Foster returned to practice this week after missing the season opener because of a left hamstring injury. "He looks ready to play," Kubiak said after practice Friday. "He's had a good week. I think he'll be fine. As long as there's no setbacks he's ready to go."

The Dolphins have re-signed defensive back Will Allen. Miami gave up a franchise-worst 517 passing yards on Monday night against New England. Allen was cut by the Dolphins at the end of training camp. "This is a business," he said. "You've got to understand. You can't take anything personal. You take the punch, and you keep rolling. Bitterness doesn't get me anywhere, so here I am."

The Dolphins cut ties with cornerback Benny Sapp on Tuesday, a day after the Patriots and Wes Welker beat him for a 99-yard touchdown. The veteran nickel back was cut, according to a tweet by his agent, Andrew Simms.

Dolphins coach Tony Sparano says that running back Reggie Bush will continue to get 20 touches per game. Bush rushed 11 times for 38 yards in Monday night's loss to the Patriots. He also caught nine passes for 56 yards and a touchdown.

Former Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder, who was cut by the team in July, criticized running back Reggie Bush recently. On his weekly radio show, Crowder called Bush a "glorified receiver." He also predicted that Miami will go 10-6 this season. Bush has 294 receptions since 2006, the most by a running back in the NFL.

Patriots defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth did not participate in Saturday's practice session due to illness. He is one of 12 players listed as questionable for Monday's season-opener against the Dolphins.
