David Vobora, the last man taken in the 2008 NFL Draft, will start for the Rams at middle linebacker on Sunday against the Dolphins.
He will be the first "Mr. Irrelevant" to start in his rookie season since Marty Moore started four games for the New England Patriots in 1994.

Rams' running back Steven Jackson is optimistic about facing the Dolphins this weekend despite a lingering quadriceps injury.
Jackson suffered the injury against Dallas Oct. 19 and reinjured it two weeks later when he came back to play Arizona.
Report: Haslett Needs Two More Wins To Keep Job
Rams coach Jim Haslett reportedly needs to win two more games in order to keep his job next season.
According to St. Louis team sources, Haslett was told by owner Chip Rosenbloom that he needs to win a couple of games to be retained.
Haslett met with the Rosenbloom on Saturday.
"We talked about the future of the team," Haslett said. "We talked about the present. We talked about the offseason. We talked about a lot of different things. Why we have the record we have. We talked about the players. We talked about the people in the building (at Rams Park)."
Rams' Bulger Leaves With Concussion
St. Louis quarterback Marc Bulger left the team's 27-3 loss to Chicago in the first quarter on Sunday with a concussion and did not return.
He suffered the concussion on a sack in the team's first offensive series.
Rams' coach Jim Haslett believed that Bulger had improved by the end of the game, but his status is still uncertain for Week 13.
"I thought he looked fine in the second half" Haslett said.
Rams' Incognito Rips St. Louis Fans
Rams' guard Richie Incognito criticized the team's fans on Thursday heading into the team's game against the Bears.
"It seems like our fans aren't coming to the game, so it's fun when the other fans come in and start hooting and hollering ? you know what I mean?" Incognito said. "At least someone is in the dome yelling. We don't worry about noise. (Bears' fans) can be as loud as they want. We deal with noise on the road; we deal with noise at home."
Haslett: Jackson Injury Related To Holdout
Rams coach Jim Haslett claims that Steven Jackson's lingering thigh injury is related to his training camp holdout.
"It happens all the time," Haslett said. "You can run all you want, you can lift weights all you want, but until you put pads on and you actually cut and move at full speed, you can't replicate that until you actually do it."
Jackson held out for 27 days this summer.
"That goes back to when I was playing," added Haslett, a former NFL linebacker. "Guys that don't go to training camp get hurt."
Jackson will miss his fourth game in five weeks when St. Louis faces Chicago on Sunday.
Rams Sticking With Bulger At QB
Rams' coach Jim Haslett said on Monday that he plans to stick with Marc Bulger as the team's starting quarterback.
Bulger has eight turnovers in the team's last three games.
"We're going to stick with Marc," Haslett said. "Just talking to all the offensive coaches upstairs, they think that Marc right now still gives us our best chance to win."
Rams' Jackson Out Against 49ers
Rams' running back Steven Jackson will miss the team's game against the 49ers on Sunday because of his injured right thigh.
He didn't practice on Friday, and by sitting out will have missed three of the team's last four games.
"I really didn't think I would miss a game, let alone two or three," Jackson said. "For it to linger like this, it really begins to make you wonder what's really going on."
Could Bulger Lose Starting Job With Rams?
Rams' coach Jim Haslett is losing his confidence in quarterback Marc Bulger and hasn't named a starter for the team's game this Sunday.
"I don't know yet," Haslett said. "I haven't decided anything on anybody yet."
Trent Green replaced Bulger at the half, with the Rams trailing 40-0. Bulger went 6-for-13 with 65 yards and an interception in the historic loss.
"The quarterback can only go as far as the O-line lets him, and we just let him down," center Nick Leckey said. "We didn't give him enough time in the pocket to set his feet and make his reads and progressions."
Darby To Start For Jackson At RB
St. Louis Rams' coach Jim Haslett on Friday made Kenneth Darby the starter for the game against the Jets in New York. Steven Jackson will sit as he continues to recover from a quad injury suffered in a game on Oct. 19 against Dallas.
Darby has two carries for 9 yards in his NFL career, but believes he's prepared as St. Louis (2-6) tries to snap a two-game losing streak.
"I'm ready for it," Darby said. "I've been preparing all week for it. I know I'm ready. This is a great opportunity for me, and I want to take full advantage of it. This opportunity I'm getting this Sunday is very rare for most guys, especially guys of my caliber."
