Indianapolis Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri has a broken bone in his left (non-kicking) foot, the Indianapolis Star reported Thursday.
?That's what he told us about a week and a half ago,? Vinatieri's mother, Judy Vinatieri, said, the newspaper reported. ?They sent him to a specialist. They found a small broken bone in his foot.?
Vinatieri suffered the injury in practice Aug. 14, the newspaper reported.

Dallas Clark Returns To Game After Concussion
Indianapolis Colts tight end Dallas Clark left a preseason game against the New Orleans Saints with what team officials described as a mild concussion, but later returned to the lineup.
Clark was blocking during a running play when he went down and remained on his knees while trainers looked at him. They helped him walk off the field with just under 5 minutes remaining in the first quarter.
Colts' Mungro Will Miss Entire Season
Colts running back James Mungro will miss the entire season after tearing a knee ligament during Sunday's preseason game against Seattle.
Mungro, a short-yardage specialist who has scored 13 touchdowns in four seasons with the Colts, was placed on injured reserve Wednesday with what coach Tony Dungy said was a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.
"Don't know when they're going to do the surgery but at some point that's just going to be necessary," Dungy said.
Manning Gives $1 Million To Alma Mater
Former Tennessee quarterback Peyton Manning has pledged $1 million toward renovations in the university's football complex and stadium locker room he hopes will increase the "wow factor" and appeal to recruits.
Manning returns to campus at least once a year to award the Peyton Manning Scholarship. He was honored last season by having his jersey retired, and he remains a fan favorite.
"It was one of the most salient memories of my official visit in 1994," he wrote. "The current dressing area is not up to SEC or Tennessee standards. As I have mentioned previously, athletes choose schools with their eyes, and we need to provide that 'WOW' for them in the complex."
Rams' Linehan Wins Head Coaching Debut Over Colts, 19-17
The Rams ran more than they passed Thursday, didn't challenge a play and didn't even use a timeout, much less waste one.
Scott Linehan's head coaching debut, a 19-17 win over Indianapolis, lacked the razzle-dazzle of Mike Martz's six seasons.
Instead, it was the Colts who resorted to trickery.
