Lions' Jared Goff Trending Toward Thanksgiving Return

Nov 24, 2021 7:16 AM

Jared Goff is "leaning" toward a return to the Detroit Lions for Thursday's game against the Chicago Bears, according to Dan Campbell.

Goff missed Sunday's 13-10 loss to the Cleveland Browns with an oblique injury.

"I would say there's a 60% chance of it being 50-50," Campbell said jokingly.

Tim Boyle started in Goff's place against the Browns. In his first NFL start, Boyle had 77 passing yards with two interceptions, completing 15 of 23 passes for a 34.1 passer rating.

Jared Goff Doesn't Practice With Lions; Tim Boyle Gets Reps

Nov 18, 2021 8:43 AM

It's looking more likely the Detroit Lions will be without Jared Goff on Sunday against the Cleveland Browns.

Goff missed practice Wednesday with an oblique injury, allowing Tim Boyle to get first-team reps at quarterback.

"It's more functionally," Goff said. "The pain is whatever, I can mask that. It's being able to function fully. We'll see.

"If I can throw it as hard as I want to and it doesn't pull on me, then I can go. If not, then I can't."

The start would be the first of Boyle's career.

Josh Reynolds Excited To Be Top Target For Lions

Nov 12, 2021 8:36 AM

The Detroit Lions claimed Josh Reynolds on waivers this week from the Tennessee Titans.

Reynolds is excited to now be the top target in the passing game for the winless Lions.

"Oh man, it's what I came for," Reynolds said. "I've been preparing my whole career for it, preparing like I was a starter regardless of whether I wasn't or not, and hoping it’s time to have it pay off. That's what I’m excited for."
