Bears' Gilmore Arrested
Chicago tight end John Gilmore was arrested Saturday and charged with possession of marijuana after allegedly refusing to leave a bar and getting into a "small tussle" with police.
"It was a small tussle, nothing serious," police spokesman Marcel Bright said. "He refused to be handcuffed."
The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. near the Leg Room, a bar in Chicago's Gold Coast neighborhood, Bright said.
Bears Sign Danieal Manning, Dusty Dvoracek
The Chicago Bears agreed to four-year contracts with second-round draft pick Danieal Manning and third-round choice Dusty Dvoracek on Wednesday.
Manning and Dvoracek were the last of the Bears' seven draft picks to agree to contracts.
Bears Agree To Terms With Hester And Williams
The Bears have agreed to terms with second-round draft pick Devin Hester and fourth-round selection Jamar Williams on four-year contracts.
Hester will play cornerback as a rookie, but he likely will make his biggest impact on special teams. He returned four punts and two kickoffs for TDs at Miami, second in school history to current Redskins star Santana Moss, who had six scores.
