Bills Looking To Trade Up For Kalil?

Sep 9, 2014 9:18 AM

With the Vikings now believed to be passing on Matt Kalil with the third overall pick, other teams may be looking to swoop in and grab the offensive tackle. The Browns and Buccaneers, who will selected fourth and fifth, appear set at left tackle, meaning Kalil could slide to sixth or lower. Buffalo is willing to move up to grab Kalil, giving up their first- and second-round pick to do so. That sort of package may be good enough to get them up to the No. 6 selection.

Bills Hoping To Hit On All 10 Draft Picks

May 22, 2014 6:33 AM

The Bills and general manager Buddy Nix have 10 picks in this week's NFL Draft. "Our philosophy when we came in was we're going to build through the draft," Nix said. "We've got 10 picks and our goal has to be that we hit on all 10 of them. We need to do that. We've got places that we need depth and we need better players that can make a difference. I think all of them are important and we have to make them count."

Bills' Canadian Fanbase Growing Rapidly

Jun 13, 2014 12:21 PM

The Bills have seen their Canadian fanbase continue to grow in recent years. Bills executive Russ Brandon says that based on 2011's demographic studies and the current ticket-selling trend, Southern Ontario has "inched past" Rochester, New York to become the team's secondary market. "Roughly on any given Sunday I'd say 15 percent of the people in the stadium are from Monroe County, and now about 15.5 to 16 percent are from Southern Ontario," Brandon said. Brandon said the spike in ticket sales in Southern Ontario is directly attributable to the regionalization push the franchise made with the Bills Toronto Series. Now in its fifth and final year on the original agreement (which Brandon is confident will be renewed), the series provided an immediate financial windfall for the team.

Eric Berry Wonders If Bills Intentionally Tried To Hurt Him

Jun 4, 2014 2:08 AM

A low block resulted in a season-ending injury for Eric Berry in Week 1 of the 2011 NFL season against the Bills. The Chiefs safety was in the open field and running toward the ball on Sept. 11 when wide receiver Stevie Johnson dove at his knee from the side. Although the open-field block was legal, Berry tweeted last month: "Sometimes I sit n wonder if they had a bounty out on me ... oh well ... who cares. Either way u can't hold me down." Berry has since said that the tweet, sent after revelations of bounties being paid out in New Orleans, was "pretty much a joke." But pressed about whether he thought the hit was intentional, Berry gave the impression he still wonders about it. "They got the tape out there, you can make your own opinion," he said. "I mean, my opinion is my opinion. People are going to take it how they want to take it anyway. "To me, that's in the past," he said. "It is what it is."

Former Player: Gregg Williams Was 'Softest' Coach

Jun 26, 2014 1:29 PM

A retired NFL player tells the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that the public perception of Gregg Williams is far from the man he once knew. "He was the softest coach I've been around," said Chidi Ahanotu, a 12-year NFL veteran who played under Williams with the Bills in 2002. "It was to the point, really, where I said, 'Man, this guy's really not made out to be a coach.' Honestly, that's what I always felt in Buffalo -- this is not football. His approach was very cerebral."
