The Los Angeles Rams and Tyler Higbee have agreed to a three-year deal worth up to $30.5 million. The base value is $27 million.

The deal includes $17 million in guaranteed money.

Higbee had 72 catches for 620 yards and three touchdowns last season.

The New York Jets have signed Trevor Siemian to their practice squad. 

Siemian, 31, was released by the Cincinnati Bengals in the preseason, and joins Zach Wilson and Tim Boyle in the Jets' quarterback room. 

Siemian's career record is 13-17, with 42 touchdowns and 28 interceptions. The Denver Broncos' full-time starter in 2016 and 2017, Siemian has been relegated to backup duty since being released by the Broncos.

The New Orleans Saints have signed Carl Granderson to a four-year, $52 million extension that includes $35.3 million in guarantees. 

Granderon was previously on a two-year contract worth $5.2 million with just $240,000 guaranteed.

Granderson was a rotational defensive lineman from 2019-2022 before he won the starting job over Payton Turner in training camp this season. 

The Chicago Bears have re-signed Nathan Peterman to the active roster after releasing the quarterback on Wednesday.

It's not clear if this was always the plan or if the Bears were thinking about making another move that didn't wind up happening.

Tyson Bagent, an undrafted rookie, has been the emergency third quarterback for the first two weeks of the season and Peterman's return will likely keep him in that role for this Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Kareem Hunt has re-signed with the Cleveland Browns on a one-year deal worth up to $4 million.

The Browns lost Nick Chubb to a season-ending knee injury on Monday. 

Jerome Ford will be the primary running back for the Browns. 

Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs have agreed to a restructured contract where he will receive $210.6 million between 2023 and 2026 with all those seasons being guaranteed.

With escalators, Mahomes could reach $218.1 million by the end of 2026.

The Chiefs and Mahoes will revisit the agreement after the 2026 season.

Mahomes had recently dropped to eighth in average annual salary among quarterbacks with nine more seasons remaining on the contract he signed in 2020. This deal now puts him back near the top.

Chris Jones and the Kansas City Chiefs have reached agreement on a one-year deal.

Jones and the Chiefs did not add any new years to his contract, but he received multiple incentives to earn more money.

Jones will end his holdout after the Chiefs lost their Week 1 game against the Detroit Lions.

The Cincinnati Bengals have secured the future for their long-term quarterback.

Joe Burrow reached agreement on a five-year, $275 million extension that includes $219.01 million guaranteed, making him the highest-paid player in NFL history, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Thursday.

The contract ends months of negotiations and rewards a player who has flipped Cincinnati's fortunes.

The Minnesota Vikings have reached an agreement on a two-year contract extension with safety Josh Metellus, according to a source.

The safety's new deal is worth up to $13 million and includes $6 million guaranteed.

Metellus has long been one of the Vikings' top special teams players and was named its captain for the 2023 season.

Nick Bosa and the San Francisco 49ers have agreed to a five-year, $170 million contract extension.

The deal includes $122.5 million in guaranteed margin, which will make him the highest paid defensive player in NFL history.

Bosa was the NFL's Defensive Player of the Year in 2022.
