Zach Wilson signed his rookie contract with the New York Jets on Thursday.

The first-round pick missed two days of practice as the two sides haggled over technicalities in the contract language.

The quarterback agreed to a four-year, $35.15 million contract, which is fully guaranteed.

It includes a $22.9 million signing bonus and a fifth-year team option, standard for all first-round picks.

Aaron Rodgers signed his reworked contract with the Green Bay Packers on Thursday.

Among the concessions in the new contract:

• The 2023 year in his original contract is voided, making 2022 the final year on his contract.

• Forfeiture provisions were removed from the contract, preventing the Packers from pursuing prorated portions of Rodgers' signing bonus.

Rodgers reported to training camp on Tuesday and participated when practice opened Wednesday.

The Indianapolis Colts have signed Braden Smith to a four-year, $72.4 million extension with $42 million guaranteed.

"We want to take care of our players," general manager Chris Ballard said earlier this week.

Smith was a second round pick in 2018 and moved from guard in college at Auburn to right tackle. 

The New Orleans Saints have reached an agreement on a contract with Chris Hogan.

Hogan, 33, agreed to the deal on Monday, according to a source. He played in the Premier Lacrosse League this offseason, but will now help the Saints fill the void left by the injured Michael Thomas.

Washington Football Team has agreed to sign Jonathan Allen to a four-year, $72 million deal with a $30 million signing bonus.

Allen was the 17th overall pick in 2017 out of Alabama and has 17 career sacks over four seasons.

The Cincinnati Bengals have agreed to a four-year, $40 million deal with Sam Hubbard.

Hubbard was set to enter the final year of his contract.

The fourth-year veteran has played defensive end and linebacker for the Bengals, accruing 177 tackles and 16.5 sacks.

The Minnesota Vikings have signed Dede Westbrook.

Westbrook's contract is for one year, according to a source.

A former fourth-round selection by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2017, Westbrook will reunite with Vikings wide receivers coach Keenan McCardell for a fifth consecutive season. McCardell coached wideouts in Jacksonville from 2017 to 2020.

The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to a one-year contract with Steven Nelson.

The cornerback will reportedly make more than $4 million under the deal, per a report.

Nelson is expected to compete for the No. 2 cornerback slot opposite Darius Slay.

Fred Warner and the San Francisco 49ers have agreed to a five-year, $95 million extension through 2026.

Warner was entering the final season of his existing deal. Warner will receive $40.5 million in guaranteed money.

Warner said earlier this offseason that he wanted to be a "Niner for life."

Warner had 125 tackles and two interceptions in 2020. 

Cleared to resume football activity, Kwon Alexander was scheduled to visit with the New Orleans Saints on Tuesday.

The linebacker had been rehabbing from a torn Achilles injury sustained in Week 16 of the 2020 season.

The 26-year-old was released in March.
