Josh Harris Submits Bid For Commanders To NFL

Apr 17, 2023 10:46 PM

The Josh Harris group has sent its bid to purchase the Washington Commanders to the NFL league office to review.

The ownership group reached an agreement in principle with Dan and Tanya Snyder last week to purchase the Commanders for $6.05 billion.

The offer was considered non-exclusive, leaving the door ajar for another group to perhaps win the bidding.

If the league approves the terms of Harris' offer, both sides would need to sign it and then submit it to the NFL's eight-member finance committee for an official review.

The earliest the NFL could vote on a new owner would be May 22-24 in Minneapolis.

Police Charge Bengals' Joe Mixon With Aggravated Menacing

Apr 10, 2023 8:33 AM

Cincinnati police have resubmitted a misdemeanor aggravated menacing charge against Joe Mixon stemming from an alleged incident in January.

Mixon allegedly pointed a gun at a woman on Jan. 21, the day the Cincinnati Bengals traveled to face the Buffalo Bills.

The initial charge was dismissed less than 24 hours after it was filed, with authorities stating during the court proceeding that they reserved the right to refile the case upon gathering new information.

"This decision was reached following the discovery of new evidence during the investigative process," the Cincinnati Police Department said in a statement. "To preserve a fair and impartial judicial process for all parties involved, no investigatory details or evidence will be disclosed outside of official court proceedings."

According to The Cincinnati Enquirer, police records show that the alleged incident occurred less than a mile from the Bengals' stadium.
