Walter Thurmond will drop his appeal on his four-game suspension for violating the NFL's non-PED violation.

The Seahawks are already without Brandon Browner for four to six weeks, meaning the loss of Thurmond further decimates their secondary.

Report: Incognito Sent Martin Threatening, Racist Messages

Oct 14, 2014 9:44 PM

Richie Incognito sent Jonathan Martin text messages and voicemails of a threatening and racially charged nature, according to sources.

Those messages will be shared with the NFLPA as part of the investigation.

Incognito was suspended indefinitely by the Miami Dolphins on Sunday for "conduct detrimental to the team."

Jay Glazer reported Martin was receiving treatment. Glazer stated on FOX NFL Sunday "there's a lot more to the story with Jonathan Martin personally than meets the eye."

Multiple sources confirmed to ESPN that the following is a transcript of a voice message Incognito left for Martin in April 2013, a year after Martin was drafted:

"Hey, wassup, you half n----- piece of s---. I saw you on Twitter, you been training 10 weeks. [I want to] s--- in your f------ mouth. [I'm going to] slap your f------ mouth. [I'm going to] slap your real mother across the face [laughter]. F--- you, you're still a rookie. I'll kill you."

Sources say these are not terms Incognito used in isolated incidents.

Martin also received texts referring to the female anatomy and sexual orientation.

NFLPA Reviewing Incognito's Role In Harassment Of Martin

May 18, 2014 1:45 AM

Richie Incognito's role in harassing teammate Jonathan Martin is under review by the NFLPA.

One high-ranking Miami Dolphins official who did not want to be identified defended Incognito as a player who has been a "model citizen" and was mystified by any allegations related to Incognito.

Several sources insisted Incognito was involved, adding that the incident was not isolated and extended to 2012 when Martin was a second-round draft pick by the Dolphins. One source said any emotional issues that Martin is experiencing are directly related to his harassment.

Justin Blackmon Suspended Indefinitely

Nov 22, 2014 12:30 PM

Justin Blackmon has been suspended indefinitely by the NFL for again violating the league's substance abuse policy.

Blackmon will be eligible to apply for reinstatement before the 2014 season.

“All of us who are a part of the Jaguars family care very deeply about Justin and his well-being," said GM David Caldwell. "That said, he must be held accountable and accept the consequences announced today by the NFL. His suspension will provide him the opportunity to receive the attention and professional treatment necessary to overcome his challenges, and we will support him during this time. The Jacksonville Jaguars will evaluate Justin's status once he has successfully met the criteria to be considered for reinstatement to the league.”

Blackmon has caught 29 balls for 415 yards in four games this season after coming off another suspension.
