Jerome Felton has been suspended for the first three games of the season for violating the NFL's substance abuse program.

Felton is the Minnesota Vikings' fullback.

Von Miller has been suspended for six games.

"Although my suspension doesn’t result from a positive test, there is no excuse for my violations of the rules," said Miller in a statement.

Miller will return in Week 7 against the Indianapolis Colts.

Miller is widely considered one of the two or three most valuable defensive players in the NFL due to his elite pass-rushing ability.

Antonio Smith has been suspended for one regular season game and the two remaining preseason games.

Smith forcibly removed the helmet of Richie Incognito and then swung it at his face.

Smith will appeal the suspension.

Von Miller is expected to be suspended for at least six games. Miller is still hoping to negotiate a four-game suspension.

Miller violated the NFL's substance abuse policy.

Miller's hearing to appeal a previous four-game suspension scheduled last week had been delayed.

Miller reportedly did not fail a drug test to trigger this suspension, but he was already in the NFL's drug program due to a failed test in his rookie season.

Miller is ranked No. 9 in the NFL Network's Top 100 Players of 2013.
