Vince Young is still listed second on the depth chart of the Titans.
"He's always been our No. 2 quarterback, and he'll remain that," coach Jeff Fisher told the Nashville City Paper. "He's done a nice job most of the time on the fields, and most of the time on Sundays or in the games and on the practice field. The stuff that we asked him to do in the ballgame, I thought he did a good job with."
Young will backup Kerry Collins entering the season, and is ahead of Patrick Ramsey.

Kicker Hits HD Screen At New Cowboys Stadium
The Titans may have uncovered a huge flaw in the construction of the Cowboys' new stadium on Friday night.
Tennessee reserve punter A.J. Trapasso hit the gigantic HD screen that hangs over the field with a punt in the second half.
Dallas owner Jerry Jones said after the game that the NFL approved the screen and that he has no plans to alter it.
"It's an issue, yeah," said Titans coach Jeff Fisher, who serves as co-chairmen of the league's competition committee.
"I'm sure the Cowboys or the league will tell you, I shouldn't have to throw a flag out there because [the officiating crew] didn't see the ball hit the scoreboard. Now, it's not necessarily their responsibility. Once a fair catch signal is given, then there are no eyes on the ball anymore. So they don't see it. So something has to get worked out. It can become a problem."
The stadium cost $1.2 billion and Jones continued to defend it.
"You don't need to move it. You gotta be trying to do it. The rule is very clear. You just kick it over," he said.
Tennessee's kickers said they hit the screen multiple times during warmups.
Titans Aren't Pursuing Marvin Harrison
The Titans aren't pursuing free-agent wide receiver Marvin Harrison, despite reports to the contrary.
Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean reported on Tuesday that there is nothing going on between Harrison and the team. The Titans are more interested in working with rookie Kenny Britt and are happy with what they've seen from their veterans.
Titans' Owner: Young Is Our Future QB
Titans owner Bud Adams says that Vince Young isn't going anywhere and that he remains their quarterback of the future.
"Vince is a young guy and he can be a great quarterback before he gets through with his NFL career," Adams said, according to ESPN.com.
After being the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2006 and leading Tennessee to the playoffs in 2007, Young lost the starting job to Kerry Collins at the beginning of the 2008 season.
Young May Take Less Money To Stay With Titans
Vince Young?s salary cap number jumps to more than $14 million next season, due to a $7.5 million base salary in the fifth year of his original six-year contract. Young also has a base salary of $8.5 million scheduled for 2011.
But Young?s agent, Major Adams, told The City Paper that he and Young might be willing to lower that cap number in an effort to remain on the team, if something agreeable can be worked out.
?We haven?t had any communication yet. Vince is just concentrating on the season. I think that depends on after this year,? Adams said. ?We?re willing to talk about his cap situation, but I believe it?ll be after the season.?
Tennessee Releases Alex Mortensen
The Titans have released quarterback Alex Mortensen, the son of ESPN analyst Chris Mortensen.
Mortensen threw two passes in Sunday's Hall of Fame game, one of which was intercepted by Buffalo's Reggie Corner and returned for a touchdown.
"We just didn't have a luxury of carrying him anymore. I told him, 'It's a great experience to be able to play in a game.' We got him in the ballgame and he's two-for-two with a touchdown, so he should be happy about that," Fisher said, according to the Nashville City Paper.
Agent: Titans' Young May Be Willing To Reduce 2010 Cap Hit
Vince Young's salary cap number will jump up to $14 million in 2010.
However, Young's agent, Major Adams, told the Nashville City Paper that his client may be willing to lower the cap number in order to remain with the team.
"We haven't had any communication yet. Vince is just concentrating on the season. I think that depends on after this year," Adams said. "We're willing to talk about his cap situation, but I believe it'll be after the season."
Titans general manager Mike Reinfeldt said the club has not yet had any discussions about Young's salary or his long-term future with the team.
"It's too early. It's not something we've addressed at all. I think we'll see as we go through the season how it goes. I can't tell you the specific time now," Reinfeldt said. "We haven't really addressed it internally, so I can't really tell you what it would take to make that happen."
Young Could Start Preseason Game For Titans
Titans coach Jeff Fisher says that he has considered starting Vince Young in one of the team's preseason games.
"Part of the preseason process is to put people in different situations and scenarios, so it's not unlikely that Vince wouldn't have a start. There is a chance that Vince will start a preseason game as we move forward," Fisher said Monday, according to the Tennessean. "And we'll give Pat a chance to play a little earlier in the game."
Kerry Collins is expected to start the team's second preseason game on Saturday. Fisher could give Young a start down the line to help decide between the former Texas Longhorn and Patrick Ramsey as the team's backup.
Titans Will Honor McNair With No. 9 Decal
The Titans will honor slain quarterback Steve McNair with a No. 9 decal on their helmets this season.
NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy says the league found it appropriate to allow the team's 1 1/4-inch decal in memory of McNair, according to the Associated Press.
"We felt this was an appropriate way to honor Steve McNair and the contributions he made to our franchise," Titans owner Bud Adams said in a statement. "We have other things planned for our fans to honor him and the McNair family."
Young: I Will Be Next Black QB To Win SB
Vince Young said in a recent interview with Esquire that he'll be the next black quarterback to win a Super Bowl.
Young is battling to be the backup quarterback for the Titans heading into the 2009 season.
"I don't know when I'll start again. But I will be the next black quarterback to win a Super Bowl. And I will be in the Hall of Fame," Young told the magazine.
NFL Wanted $70K From White To Change Number
Titans running back LenDale White wanted to switch from number 25 to 21 this season, but the NFL's demands were too high.
Titans Reach Deal With 1st Round Pick
The Tennessee Titans have reached an agreement with first-round pick wide receiver Kenny Britt.
