Titans' Haynesworth: No Hometown Discount

Sep 13, 2014 6:08 PM

Titans' defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth loves his team but says that he won't give Tennessee a hometown discount on the long-term deal he's looking for this offseason. "Not unless they give me a 100 percent guaranteed contract," the veteran defensive tackle said Thursday. "You want to try and make as much as you can because if you have a career-ending injury you are out ... and the team sure as heck is not going to pay you. It's not like baseball or basketball. You want to get as much as possible." Haynesworth is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent on Feb. 27.

Collins Wants To Return To Titans

Feb 12, 2014 4:45 PM

Quarterback Kerry Collins would like to return to the Titans next season and believes that he has a few good years left. Collins, however, said he would retire if the right offer doesn't come along. He will become a free agent at the end of the season. "I think I made my case known, that I'd like to be here and feel that I can be a part of several more good seasons and give them several more good years," Collins said Monday. " ... I will pack up and go somewhere else. I don't want to, but that's the reality of this business. "I really like it here, my family really likes it in Nashville, and I think that there is something special here that I'd like to be a part of. But there is a business side to it too and if it comes down to it I've got to be able to pack up and move on," he said.

Fisher: Delay Of Game Non-Call 'Unacceptable'

Oct 31, 2014 7:00 AM

Titans' head coach Jeff Fisher has called the non-call on a delay of game penalty against the Ravens on Saturday night 'unacceptable'. "I've always maintained that there's a human element in the game as far as officiating is concerned. [They're] going to make mistakes; it is part of our game," Fisher said, according to The Tennessean. "But this particular mistake was unacceptable. There is no excuse for it, it was a mistake, and it was a costly mistake. "It was not the reason we lost the game, but it was a mistake, an error."
