Agent: Pacman Still Looking For Team

Nov 13, 2014 10:05 AM

Adam "Pacman" Jones remains hopeful that he'll get a call from an NFL team with an invitation to training camp soon. Worrick Robinson, the agent for Jones, told the Nashville City Paper that he has been in contact with a few teams that are mostly taking the wait-and-see approach. "We realize that anywhere he goes, we would expect that it's going to be a media circus and people will take the focus off the team and try to make it about him," Robinson said. "I've talked to a couple of teams that said they might be more interested in getting into the first weekend or so of camp, settling in and then maybe taking a look at him, because it would be such a circus when he comes to town."

Doctor: McNair's Death Should Be 'Wake Up Call'

Nov 25, 2014 9:02 AM

A clinical psychologist believes that Steve McNair's death should be "a wake up call" for professional athletes. However, Dr. Sherry Blake believes that players will eventually forget about the murder-suicide and return to their old promiscuous habits. "Many players have had extra affairs for years," said Blake. The NFL made it clear that they attempt to help educate players on relationship management. "Relationship management is a critical part of what we do in Player Development," NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said. "I call this the spoiled athlete syndrome," associate professor of sociology at Oregon State University Steven Ortiz said. "Part of the syndrome has to do with the idea that they are above any responsibility for their actions off the field."
