Deebo Samuel Doesn't Regret Calling James Bradberry 'Trash'

Nov 28, 2023 8:50 AM

Deebo Samuel stands behind the comments he made about Philadelphia Eagles cornerback James Bradberry last season.

"I don't regret nothing I said," said Samuel, who called Bradberry "trash."

Following the San Francisco 49ers' loss to the Eagles in the NFC Championship Game, Samuel went on the "I Am Athlete" podcast. The panel asked Samuel where the holes were in the Eagles defense.

"Where are the holes?" Samuel said. "The back end. The D-line makes both of them All-Pros. Besides [Darius] Slay, I respect Slay. Did you see the play Brandon [Aiyuk] had? The second play of the game when [Brock] Purdy got hurt? The separation, it’s just. . . ."

LeSean McCoy asked specifically about Bradberry, which prompted Samuel's "trash" response.

Bills' Shaq Lawson Apologizes For Confronting Fan

Nov 28, 2023 8:41 AM

Buffalo Bills defensive end Shaq Lawson has apologized for confronting fans in Philadelphia after the team's overtime loss to the Eagles on Sunday afternoon.

Video circulated on social media of Lawson and other Bills defensive linemen confronting fans at Lincoln Financial Field.

"Those of you who know me know that I'm all about the fans, and I have a lot of respect for the game I play and my opponents," Lawson wrote on Instagram.

"Before the game started yesterday, there was a fan behind our bench, who was making life threatening remarks towards us and our families. We asked Philadelphia security to remove the fan, but he was allowed to stay for the entire game. Eventually, our emotions boiled over, and I made a mistake. For that, I apologize, but there are certain lines that should not be crossed."

A spokesman for the Eagles told the Associated Press on Monday that the matter is being reviewed.

Andy Reid won his 125th regular season game with the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders.

The victory broke Hank Stram's franchise record for most regular-season wins by a head coach.

Reid is now the first head coach in NFL history to have the most regular-season wins for two different franchises.

He won 130 games with the Philadelphia Eagles in his 14 seasons there (1999-2012) and has 125 wins in his 11 seasons with the Chiefs (2013-present).

With 277 combined victories in the regular season and postseason, Reid is fourth on the all-time list among head coaches.

Eagles Tie Record With Fourth Straight Comeback Win

Nov 27, 2023 1:51 AM

Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts continues to have a flair for the dramatic.

He scored four of his career-high five touchdowns after halftime in the Eagles' come-from-behind win over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, including a 12-yard scoring run in overtime to end the game in walk-off fashion and send the Lincoln Financial Field crowd into a frenzy.

"It's a Jalen performance. There aren't too many guys that I've played with -- probably nobody that I've played with -- that's been more clutch down the stretch," Eagles veteran center Jason Kelce said after the 37-34 victory.

Eagles Not Satisfied Despite Beating Chiefs In Super Bowl LVII Rematch

Nov 21, 2023 9:06 AM

The Philadelphia Eagles came back to beat the Kansas City Chiefs 21-17 on Monday night in a rematch of Super Bowl LVII.

With wind and rain steady throughout the night, the defenses starred. Jalen Hurts threw for 150 yards and an interception and was sacked five times while Patrick Mahomes went for 177 yards with two touchdowns and a pick.

"I don't think we played clean tonight. I don't think we played to our standard -- nowhere near our standard," Hurts said. "But I think the thing that you can't test or quantify is the resilience that a team has, the ability to persevere and see through things and overcome things, and this team has that.

"When you win games like we've won games, that builds a ton of character. We're kind of in, I guess, character development mode with the games we've played and how we've won. It can only serve us for great things in the future."

Eagles' Jason Kelce Doesn't 'Buy Into' Revenge Game Against Chiefs

Nov 17, 2023 8:54 AM

Jason Kelce says he is not playing into the Super Bowl revenge angle leading up to Monday night's showdown between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs.

However, the Eagles center would like to beat his former coach, Andy Reid, and brother, Travis, for the first time in his career.

"I'm motivated to win the game. I don't need the Super Bowl [loss] to motivate me to beat my brother, or [his former coach] Andy Reid. I've never beaten them in my career. I'm more motivated maybe by that," Kelce said. "I don't buy into Super Bowl revenge games. Each season is different . This team is not the same, that team is not the same. Nothing that happens on Monday night is going to at all change or make anything different about what happened last year."

The Eagles lost a 38-35 heartbreaker to the Chiefs in the Super Bowl last season.

Kelce is 0-4 against the Chiefs lifetime. He noted that the two teams he hasn't beaten, the Chiefs and Seattle Seahawks, are both on the schedule this year, giving him the opportunity to finally notch a win against them in what could be his final season.
