Eagles Separate QBs To Protect Against COVID

Dec 30, 2021 2:40 PM

The Philadelphia Eagles are keeping quarterbacks Jalen Hurts, Gardner Minshew and Reid Sinnett in separate rooms at the NovaCare Complex amid the surge in coronavirus cases across the country and the NFL.

"We're going to make some adjustments. I'm not there 100% yet because I don't have to be quite yet with the players not being back yet, but we're going to definitely make even more adjustments than what we need to just keep everybody safe," Nick Sirianni said. "The quarterbacks will be in separate rooms. We're going to be even more safe with them being in separate rooms."

The Eagles' quarterback meetings are now entirely virtual. That not only keeps the quarterbacks apart, but also Sirianni and offensive coordinator Shane Steichen -- the offensive playcallers -- in separate rooms.

All three quarterbacks will continue to attend practices.

Eagles Now Guaranteed To Receive First Round Pick From Colts

Dec 19, 2021 8:38 AM

The Philadelphia Eagles are now guaranteed to receive a first round pick from the Indianapolis Colts after Carson Wentz hit a playing time benchmark on Saturday.

Wentz has now played 906 of the Colts’ 928 snaps this season, or 97.6 percent. Even if something unforeseen were to happen and Wentz missed the final three games of the season, Wentz would finish with around 80 percent of the Colts’ total offensive snaps on the year.

The Eagles now own three first round picks in 2022.

Once you’ve set everything up, it’s time to place that first bet, risk-free. Looking at the NFL slate for this week, the Washington Football Team and Philadelphia Eagles meet in a game with major playoff implications. Despite a 1-4 home record this season, Philadelphia is a 5.5-point favorite over its divisional foe.

At BetMGM’s current odds, a $100 bet on the Football Team to cover the spread would net $191 in the event of a win. Contrarily, if Washington fails to cover, you’d receive five $20 free bets (i.e., $100 in total) from BetMGM.

BetMGM Promo Code REALGM: Money Monday

Start each week off right with a $10 free bet courtesy of BetMGM. All you have to do is place $50 or more in qualified wagers over the course of a week, and you’ll have your free bet in time for the start of the following week.

For the purposes of this promotion, the week ends at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday night. If you’ve hit the wagering requirement, you’ll receive your $10 free bet on the following day. That free bet must be used within seven days of when it’s credited to your account, which means you can spend it just in time to earn another one!

A Shot At $50K With BetMGM Bonus

For a free way to make some NFL picks, consider BetMGM’s “King of the Weekend” contest, which puts up to $50,000 at stake every week.

BetMGM Sportsbook Welcome Offer and Bonus Code

Using a shortlist of NFL games chosen by BetMGM contests try to predict the six highest-scoring teams in order. If you pick the highest-scoring team, you’ll win a $1 free bet. But the more teams you correctly pick, from the top down, the greater your reward becomes.

Selecting the top-two teams results in a $5 free bet. If you pick all six teams correctly in order, you’ll win $50,000 (or a share of that amount if there are multiple winners).

BetMGM awards a weekly prize of $1,000, too, to be split among the top player(s) of the week (even if no one goes 6-for-6 in their predictions).

Carson Wentz's Snap Count Almost Guarantees Eagles A First-Round Pick

Dec 6, 2021 8:44 AM

The Philadelphia Eagles are nearly guaranteed to receive the Indianapolis Colts' first-round pick in 2022.

The trade that sent Carson Wentz to the Colts gave the Eagles a first-round pick if Wentz plays at least 75 percent of offensive snaps this season. Through Sunday’s win over the Houston Texans, Wentz has played 853 of the team's 875 snaps this season, or 97.5 percent.

The Colts' offense is on pace to play 1,144 snaps this season, which would mean Wentz needs to play 858 snaps on the season to reach 75 percent.

The Eagles also own their own first-round pick and the Miami Dolphins' first-round pick next year.

Jalen Hurts Will Remain Starter For Eagles

Dec 6, 2021 8:37 AM

Gardner Minshew impressed in his first start for the Philadelphia Eagles, leading the team to a 33-18 win over the New York Jets on Sunday afternoon.

Jalen Hurts was sidelined in the Week 13 game due to an ankle injury.

The offense scored on each of its first seven drives under Minshew, who posted a perfect 158.3 quarterback rating in the first half.

"I think he's played really good football," Nick Sirianni said of Hurts. "There's been times when he's been one of the best in the league. The way he's moved around, made plays, we look at that quarterback rating and what he's had there. He's played really good football when he's in, so when he's healthy and he's back, he'll be our starter."
