The Philadelphia Eagles have signed Joe Flacco to a one-year contract to serve as the backup to Jalen Hurts.
Flacco will receive $3.5 million guaranteed and the opportunity to earn $4 million more in incentives, according to a source.
In 13 seasons, Flacco has passed for 40,931 yards, which ranks eighth among active quarterbacks, and he has 224 touchdown passes and 144 interceptions.
The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to a contract extension that will tie Brandon Graham to the franchise through the 2022 season.
The agreement also lowers Graham's cap hit for 2021. The deal is reportedly worth $20 million over the next two seasons with as much as $17 million of that guaranteed.
The defensive end was scheduled to count just under $18 million towards this cap this year.
Philadelphia Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie has instructed the team to build around Jalen Hurts as opposed to creating a true quarterback competition in 2021, according to sources.
Hurts is currently the only quarterback the Eagles have under contract after they traded Carson Wentz to the Indianapolis Colts last month. The transaction will become official when the league year begins on March 17.
Philadelphia has the No. 6 pick in this year's draft.
The Philadelphia Eagles have discussed trading right guard Brandon Brooks recently, according to a report.
Brooks missed the 2020 season after tearing his Achilles, but he was able to return to practice at the end of the year.
He is signed through the 2024 season with a guaranteed salary of $10.4 million for 2021, but there is no guaranteed money left on the deal after the coming season.
The Philadelphia Eagles have received trade interest from multiple teams on Zach Ertz and a deal could be agreed upon this week.
Ertz is set to earn a base salary of $8,25 million in 2021 while carrying a cap hit of $12.5 million and a dead cap value of $7.8 million.
Ertiz is coming off a down year with 36 receptions for 335 yards and one touchdown in 11 games.
Jason Kelce has agreed to a reworked contract with the Philadelphia Eagles, deciding not to retire this offseason.
The reworked deal contains $9 million in guarantees and can be worth up to $12 million.
"I'm really fired up to be able to come back and play for the Eagles again," Kelce said, via the team's website. "I've always said I'm playing until I'm not and I still have a very strong desire to play the game of football. I still want to do it. I still want to be around the guys. I want to be around the building, around the coaches. I still enjoy that aspect of it and I'm not ready to stop doing it yet. I'm excited with a lot of the energy going around right now and, also, I didn't want to end my career on a season like we had last year. It wouldn't feel right.
"I want to leave the Eagles knowing that I left it in good hands."
Kelce has quietly put together a résumé worthy of Hall of Fame consideration. Kelce is a three-time first-team All Pro and has made the Pro Bowl four times while serving as a team leader.
