Kelce Brothers Set To Make Super Bowl History

Jan 30, 2023 9:06 AM

Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce will make NFL history when the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs face off in two weeks.

The pair will be the first brothers to play each other in the Super Bowl. Both are considered future Hall of Famers -- Jason at center and Travis at tight end.

Prior to the Chiefs defeating the Cincinnati Bengals, Jason was asked on the potential of facing Travis in the Super Bowl. He was a Chiefs fan during the AFC Championship Game at least.

"I got a Kansas City sweatshirt I'm gonna wear for the next three hours and then that's it for the rest of the year," Kelce said after the Eagles' NFC Championship Game victory. "Win or lose, I'm done being a Chiefs fan."

Eagles Beat 49ers 31-7, Advance To Super Bowl LVII

Jan 29, 2023 7:19 PM

Behind a stifling defensive performance on Sunday, the Philadelphia Eagles punched their ticket to Super Bowl LVII after defeating the San Francisco 49ers 31-7 in the NFC Championship Game.

Quarterback and penalty woes marred San Francisco throughout the game. The Niners were forced to largely rely on the ground game, with running back Christian McCaffrey accounting for their sole touchdown. All four of the Eagles' touchdowns were rushing TDs -- including two by RB Miles Sanders.

Christian McCaffrey: 'Zero' Chance He's Not Playing

Jan 27, 2023 8:39 AM

Christian McCaffrey sat out of practice Thursday as he works back from a bruised calf.

The running back offered a simple answer when asked if there was any chance he won't play in Sunday's NFC Championship Game between the San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles.

"Zero," McCaffrey said.

McCaffrey suffered the injury in last week's 19-12 NFC divisional round victory over the Dallas Cowboys but came out of the game saying that he felt like he was fine.

Deebo Samuel On Playing In Philly: No Stadium Is As Loud As Ours

Jan 26, 2023 8:39 AM

Deebo Samuel isn't too concerned about the atmosphere the San Francisco 49ers will face in Philadelphia for Sunday's NFC Championship Game.

Samuel acknowledged that fans will be riled up, but doesn't think Lincoln Financial Field will be any louder than Levi's Stadium in California.

"We know it’s going to be loud, but no stadium is as loud as ours at the end of the day," Samuel said. "They're at home, NFC Championship. They're going to be all riled up. We don't really too much feed into all that because we put the pads on and just go to work."

A.J. Brown: I'm Not A 'Diva,' But I Want The Ball

Jan 26, 2023 8:31 AM

A.J. Brown answered questions Wednesday about his visible frustration on the sideline late in a blowout win over the New York Giants on Saturday.

"They throw the ball to me 100 times, I'm going to want it 101 times," the Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver said.

"Me personally, I just feel like I can change the game at any moment. Getting the ball often keeps you going, keeps you in a rhythm. It definitely puts you in a zone; you're locked in. Of course I want the ball."

With 5:11 remaining in the game and the Eagles leading 31-7, cameras showed Nick Sirianni talking to Brown on the bench. Sirianni indicated afterward that Brown, who had three catches for 22 yards on six targets against New York, was frustrated over a lack of touches.

"I'm never the receiver to go on the sideline or try to cause problems on the sideline. I'm not that guy," Brown added. "I think that's what you could describe as a diva, but I'm not that person.

"I'm a guy who goes up and talks to the quarterback and talk to the [offensive coordinator] and do it that way. I'm not a guy that's going to cause commotion on the sideline. That's not who I am. I'll never be that guy."

NFC East Makes History With Three Teams In Divisional Round

Jan 17, 2023 8:58 AM

The NFC East has three teams in the divisional round of the playoffs with the Philadelphia Eagles, New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys all vying for a spot in the conference championship game.

The NFC East is the first division since the 2002 realignment to get three teams in the divisional round of the playoffs -- and the first division since 1997 to accomplish this feat.

The 1997 NFC Central had three teams reach the divisional round of the playoffs, but that was back when the league had six divisions of five teams.
