The Dolphins have agreed to terms with first-round pick Vontae Davis on a contract. Miami is still negotiating deals with two draft picks.

The growing list of teams that aren't interested in Michael Vick now includes the Dolphins. "We don't have an interest," Dolphins General Manager Jeff Ireland said in a statement. "We like the players we have on our current roster." Speculation that Vick could join Miami had grown because of the team's propensity to use versatile players in the Wildcat offense.

Marc Anthony is officially the latest music star to buy a stake in the Miami Dolphins. The club announced Tuesday that Anthony will become a minority owner. Singer Gloria Estefan and her husband, producer Emilio Estefan, bought a small stake in the franchise in June.

The Dolphins have made it known that they want to make a long-term commitment to running back Ronnie Brown. Brown can become a free-agent in 2010, and agent Todd France said that the two sides have had preliminary discussions about a contract extension.

The Dolphins initially considered releasing Wilford just a year after giving him a four-year, $13 million deal, but that would have cost more against the cap. Wilford is "trying to gain a little more weight" to play tight end.

The Dolphins are interested in extending the contract of Matt Roth. Roth, who has the potential to become a free agent in 2010, is a strong-side linebacker. "We've exchanged proposals," agent Drew Rosenhaus told the Miami Herald.

A jury in the U.S. Virgin Islands has awarded Jason Taylor and two partners the return of a $1.5 million deposit from the botched sale of a private island. After five years, Taylor's attorney, Charles C. Papy, said Thursday he was "elated" by the jury's findings, which resolved the civil case.
