Taylor On Training Camp: 'Deal With That When I Get There'
Dolphins' defensive end Jason Taylor doesn't sound like he's going to skip training camp as Coach Tony Sparano suggested last week, according to The South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
"I'm under contract with the Dolphins. So again, I'm looking forward to playing some golf," Taylor said Wednesday. "Football doesn't start until July and training camp, so I'll be all right. I've been in L.A. and so far removed from it. Like I said, I'll deal with that when I get there."
If Taylor misses the first mandatory veterans minicamp as expected, he would be subject to fines. Taylor's representatives expected to meet with the Dolphins; however, the Dolphins canceled the meeting. "We'll work with football here in the near future," Taylor said.
"I know that Jason will not be at any minicamps," Sparano said last week. "I know that right now Jason is not going to be at training camp."

Porter Criticizes League's Handling Of Pats, Spygate
Dolphins linebacker Joey Porter has criticized the NFL's handling of the Spygate controversy in New England, according to The South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
"They cheated," Porter said during a telephone interview on ESPN's NFL Live Friday. "I feel like there should be an asterisk on it, just because [disgraced track star] Marion Jones, she gets caught, they take the gold medals back. Obviously, they got caught."
"If it wasn't that bad, why would you destroy the evidence?" Porter said. "If Tom Brady wasn't getting help out of it, then why would you do it every week? And everyone wants to wonder how these guys just went from zero to 60 overnight."
Taylor Won't Rejoin Miami Until September
Jason Taylor isn't expected to rejoin the Dolphins until after training camp, according to a report in the Miami Herald.
Coach Tony Sparano was expected to make an announcement on Thursday confirming that the defensive end intends to skip all team activities between now and the start of the 2008 season.
"I know that Jason is not going to be at any organized team activities," Sparano said. "I know that Jason is not going to be at any minicamps. And I know that right now, Jason is not going to be at training camp. That's what we know."
The move seems to be Taylor's latest in an attempt to get the team to trade him.
"Jason is a player under contract with the Miami Dolphins. He knows that. Both parties are well aware of the information. That's all I'm going to say about it." Sparano added.
Will Dolphins Move On Without Taylor?
The feud between Jason Taylor and the Dolphins intensified Wednesday, when coach Tony Sparano said the DE isn?t expected to take part in any activities through training camp, according to an Associated Press report.
The revelation came less than 24 hours after Taylor finished second to Kristi Yamaguchi in the finals of ?Dancing With the Stars." For weeks the new regime, led by Bill Parcells, has fumed while Taylor spent his offseason focused on a Hollywood career rather than in South Florida working out with teammates.
Following a voluntary team practice Wednesday?with only Taylor missing, Sparano seemed to signal the Dolphins plan to move on without their top defensive player.
